I'll never forget shaking tosin's hand and him asking me "this is your first concert?!" back in 2012 and seeing where he is now. Such a wonderful experience I'll never forget.

We're blessed to see such talented Guitarists in this era we live in right now, Plini, Yvette Young, Mario & Erick, Jake Howsam Lowe and Stephen Taranto, David Maxim Micic, Sithu Aye...I could go on for awhile but AAL is like the boss above them all in my opinion. You know you are a true legend when all your albums are timeless and can still hold up in any time period, you can go on a long hiatus and people are ok and not ok with that because what you have made already are a masterpiece that can hold you until forever but still makes you yearn for more at the same time...that's AAL.

When I learned trumpet in 7th grade, my teacher taught the ‘economy of motion’. Watching Tosin pick, I clearly understand what my teacher was talking about.

I must say that I'm really emotional about this band and it's music. My favorite instrumental modern progressive band 😌👌🏼 This is a very nicely done video and highlights really good stuff about the progress of the band most of which I wasn't even aware of. So, Thank You for making this 😌🙌🏼

Very good video mate ! Your analysis on Tosin and Javier was absolutely spot on, and very cool that you mentionned their side projects (including T.R.A.M which are the initials of the four members of the band, just some additional trivia). However, I felt like it was missing out on the drummer (being a drummer myself this might be a bit biased) who is an integral part of the trio and elevates the melodies Tosin and Javier bring up. Talking about Garstka could have led you to some further insights on how the band's sound works, and you even could have talked about some other very talented guitarists Gartska jams with (Josh de la Victoria for example, search up Kepler if you dont know about it already !). I subscribed on the spot, I can't wait for more prog metal deep dives, I'd love it if you worked on Porcupine Tree, Intervals or even Dream Theater ! Amazing job :)

Thanks for the criticism. I didn’t want to dive too deep into Garstka because I didn’t want to disrespect drummers since I really don’t know much about it but I definitely could’ve addressed him a bit more. I LOVE to watch talented drummers but my drum knowledge goes as far as the movie Whiplash embarrassingly. Josh is an incredible guitarists as well! Thanks for the sub and comment :)

I'm not AAL's biggest fan, but, since I'm a keyboardist myself and since I'm into rock/prog genre the most, I should say they're a true inspiration for everyone. However, I'd like to mention a little detail, although a fan of rock/metal music, I don't wanna sound like a nerd or something like that, but Rise Against is not metal. Anyways, great video.
