I don’t even know how Derek felt, Imagine working so hard hard for your dream House, but selling it in only months, because of a watcher. You can very easily even from house or near mail box, from a. bus etc put a small or a few small high tech cameras ..this makes no sense 🤣🤣 I would have a semi automatic or 4 and also security watching mailbox ..it makes truly no sense at all why they would not do so as that would bust the creep ..their are ways of catching the guy out easily. Also if I was them I would put house on market and get the fuck out of their and stay anyway bit their white its on market and also warn real estate agents and etc ..at least put up cameras and that 100% can be done even if he is watching ..

That is a very good idea but they were scared af and probably didn't know what to do like this one time I had this 2 year old cousin and her parents and mine were talking as she got into the front seat then pressed something to make the car go backwards then obviously my parents and hers were fast to do something but I just completely froze because that's how scared I was. I knew that my little siblings were there too but I just didn't know what to do so I'm guessing that's how they felt.

I’ve kind of been going through something mentally and that last part where you said the watcher could be here right now just destroyed my mental state honestly 😰

I was wondering though, if they still continued getting letters, can't they just install a CCTV so they could check whoever it was that sent them those letters? Since the watcher likes the house so much that it becomes like a god to them, i'd probably break and change something to piss them off 🌚

I think this was proven to be a hoax from the owners trying to get out of the house deal that he regretted

honestly if I were in their shoes, I would've packed everything n left that house asap after finding that letter.

I'm not very knowledgeable about things like that, but from what I know... when you send a letter you have to put the address from which it is sent and the destination, so the person sending the letters could only physically put them in the mailbox. In this case, couldn't they have found out the person's identity by installing cameras? Yes, there may be more than one person involved, but they were finding at least one. Was such an attempt mentioned and I was not paying attention?

Or just directly move out. Honestly I would've been creeped out since the first letter. Plus if I knew the kids were in danger I would've moved out and reported that to the police so they could put cameras or something or do a DNA test with the letters, still, poor Derek for having to go trough that. Why anyone doesn't research about the history of the house. It looks like the watcher family was connected to it . the watcher mentioned his father . maybe the "young blood" was mentioning the childhood of the watcher , which is deeply connected to the house . maybe he used to live there and somehow lost the home , thats all lead up to it

I have a few methods to find the watcher 1. Put a camera in the mail box 2. Check the fingerprints of the paper 3. Buy a graud dog 4. Remove the mail box entirely 5. Trace where the watcher has put the letters in is it from the mail man or actually himself.

I just don’t understand how he wasn’t caught. I feel like it would’ve been quite easy. 1. Install a camera. At both the house they were going to move into and the house they were living in. Going through the videos and seeing who’s in both often can help catch the stalker. (I’ll be honest, I didn’t get the exact year this was happening, but if it’s after 2010, I feel like while there won’t be high tech cameras, there would still be basic ones) 2. Install a security system at the house they’re living in, and especially at the new house. Back in 2010 my family moved into a house that had a security system and one time my brother opened the back door. Alarm went off immediately and my mom accidentally pressed the help button, then immediately pressed the correct one but a few minutes later the police entered through our backyard. My point is a security system like that would’ve made it easier for the watcher to get caught. Especially since they seem so attached to the new house and would probably visit it. 4. They seem so attached to the new house and I think even mentioned that it was their fathers house and their father was watching it before them. Unless the persons schizophrenic or something, they have a strong connection to the house. Look through previous owners, and the history of the house. I honestly strongly believe it’s one of the previous house owners. One of the letters even said that Derek and maria are trying to wipe the history of the house and talked about the hallways and such, as if they’ve lived there. 5. If we’re going with the theory that one of the neighbors is the watcher, like a lot of people said in the comments, try getting everyone’s handwriting down. 6. Maybe they were wearing gloves, or maybe the letters already been touched by too many people but it’s still worth a try, they should’ve tried fingerprinting. And this is ways that me, who isn’t some expert detective or something came up with me. I feel like unless the watcher was a schizophrenic, with just a little research they could’ve caught the watcher. Even without the watcher, if they used a camera or something, they could’ve caught on possibly. I feel like the police failed this family so bad.

I believe , The watcher is someone who really loved that house and spent his childhood their but as his father became old , the happiness in the house decreased and after his father died he had to sold the house And now wants the house back but doesn't have money, so he is threatening this family I think the police should have tried to find how many family moved in

im pretty sure the police could ask the neighbours and suspects and try to talk them into a conversation about children and if anyone of them say young blood often then it is them or the police would ask the nearby neighbours to write a essay and see if the handwriting is similar to the watchers letters

My theory is its multiple people or somone the police knew but couldnt touch. If I was those guys if I was going to lose the house anyways forget bulldozer just light a match make it like an accident. The house caught on fire.
