Based on the soundtrack, I know the deleted scene from the beginning of ROTJ where Vader tries to contact Luke was longer at one point. The music for that scene as it appears on the Special Edition soundtrack is about 20-45 seconds longer than the scene itself. I’m pretty sure there’s stuff missing from the Battle of Endor too, because the music for those scenes is also longer than the scenes themselves.

BTW did the trooper actors that tortured han get any autographs from the H man? Was a medic standing by in canse Ford got hurt to badly by the grid? And where r the trooper actors now? if I was Ford i would never consent to getting shocked badly on that machine that would hurt like hell no matter how much they paid me

That scene that Anthony Daniels described for AOTC sounds so fucking awesome. If that was in the movie I think that would have given C-3PO so much more development, the fact that a droid can express that much emotion is so facisnating. This probably would have given 3PO a new layer to him in the movie, the fact that he felt a little abandoned by Anakin is really sad like its alittle foreshadowing that Anakin will one day abandon his humanity, and that it wasn’t just Padmé dying or Palpatine turning him to the dark side, but that some of those probelms and traits he’s has since he was kid carry on until his teenage and adulthood and continues getting worse until the rise of Darth Vader. Daniels explained and summed up that scene greatly, I really hope that scene at least sees the light of day cause I just now found out about that, great vid!

Thanks! I was actually in the audience the day Anthony Daniels told the story (no joke), and I was surprised to find out about the scene myself and I'm still surprised it wasn't included on the original DVD release back in 2002. Personally, while the reshot footage does look obvious due to his lit up eyes, I think it was wise to introduce Threepio in Attack of the Clones with coverings, since it raises questions as to why the Lars family didn't give him coverings after ten years.

@@noahlawson8405 Yeah I think for the film it was better considering that most of ATOC first and middle act is expostion and dialogue anyway so to add more would have been too much. I went to see Daniels at Celebration 2015 in Anaheim, such a funny and kind gentleman!

@@noahlawson8405 I wish some of these elements had been left in. Even if it was unrealistic that Threepio wouldn’t have been given coverings in the almost ten years he had been on the farm, they could have still kept most of the dialogue. Maybe Threepio had to be stripped of his parts to clean out sand or moisture and it reminded him of being abandoned by Anakin without his coverings. Not only does the scene develop more of C-3P0’s character, but I also like how the scene also shows more of Padme’s compassionate, kind, motherly side that Leia remembers her to essentially be.

These are super fascinating... it's like we're seeing bits of an incomplete puzzle, and it hurts knowing that the rest of the pieces are sitting in an archive gathering dust, and these are only the ones we know about. I would love to see an "Ultimate edition" where these scenes are remastered and included as bonus features. I'd also love to see the alternate cuts of "Rogue One" and possibly "The Rise of Skywalker". rumors say that the movie was very troubled behind the scenes and there are alternate cuts out there, and the fact that no deleted scenes were ever released is rather suspect...

Also in The Phantom Menace, when Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are in the Trade Federation conference room, there were also going to be two exotic birds called “Pylat birds” inside the room as well. 22:13 No, they wouldn’t keep deleted scenes unreleased because of “fan response”. However, leaked cue lists from John Williams’s score reveal that the movie seemed to have gone through massive last minute re-edits- meaning that showing deleted scenes would pretty much reveal how heavily rearranged and stitched together the Final Cut ended up being.

It seems like a lot of what’s missing from the original trilogy (but also the prequels to some extent) isn’t so much whole scenes, but maybe additional or alternate shots and coverage, b-roll, and in some cases bits of business from shots that appear in the films that didn’t end up in the final film because they weren’t really necessary, or they interrupted the flow of the scene. I think some of the screenshots from “missing scenes” too might just have been staged production stills for use in promotional material, never intended to appear in the finished film. And from reading the script, a lot of the missing material from Revenge of the Sith isn’t so much whole scenes that are missing as it is short bits from existing scenes from the finished film and what deleted scenes have been released. I think there is one more meeting between Padme and her group of senators that hasn’t been officially released, and that meeting between Padme and Obi-Wan from earlier in the movie are the only whole scenes that have never been released, I believe. There was going to be a bit right before the birth scene where Yoda is directly speaking to Qui-Gon’s spirit, though, and a whole (mostly) deleted subplot where Anakin is getting paranoid that Padme is cheating on him with Obi-Wan.

That pic at 3:00 is a fan-made composite. They took a behind-the-scenes pic of the prop and photoshopped it into a shot from when Yoda is levitating the X-wing, I believe.

I’m not sure. I took a good look and compared the two, and you might be right, but the sources I found said that this was real. Still, Luke was still in his pilot outfit when Artoo was swallowed by the creature. If the scene is legit, then it could’ve happened when Luke and Artoo are retrieving gear from the X-Wing as the watch out for another attack.

Thanks for posting. This was truly epic. Hopefully someday they will release the story "Star Wars Shadows of the Empire" which takes place between "Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi". Thanks

That han and Leia scene is honestly really creepy. She seems super uncomfortable and disinterested in him

Don't know if you've seen it but you should add the extended dialogue Yoda has in RotJ where he admits that Obi-Wan would've told Luke of his true parental situation, if Yoda had let him do so.

Actually, the Prequels received a number of reshoots as well, as seen with Threepio. There are some shots in Attack of the Clones where Ewan McGregor is wearing a fake beard, and Anakin's motivation for turning to the Dark Side was completely changed in reshoots. It was originally about wanting power and was then changed to wanting to save Padmé from dying.

Long ago I remember seeing a scene with Vader holding Luke lightsaber. Look at return of the jedi when Vader tells luke if he will not turn to the dark side, perhaps Leia' would. Look close and Vader is holding Luke's lightsaber. Before luke toss Vader his lightsaber and tells vader to take it because he would not fight him. After Vader tells luke, he would target leia , luke uses the force to get his lightsaber back out of Vader's hand .No one ever talks about this lost scene anymore

I definitely know there were more deleted scenes from episode 7, 8, and 9 alone to make a whole ‘nother movie with.

Yes, the live action plates of Julian Glover and the walker crew being destroyed were filmed but the FX were never completed. They were represented by 2D paper animations (as shown in the 1980 documentary ‘SPFX: The Making of Empire Strikes back’). I think its on the Blu-Ray deleted scenes.

Would have liked to see Lando rescue Luke. With the Bespin background and all that.
