The Unique Story of Natural Diamond | GIA Knowledge Sessions Webinar Series

GIA Knowledge Sessions Webinar - recorded live on April 9, 2020.
Witnesses of Earth’s history, diamonds are the perfect time capsule. Millions, or even billions of years old, they formed deep within the Earth, from beneath the crust of old continents to Earth’s deep mantle.
Follow research scientist, Dr. Evan Smith, as he explores the origin of natural diamonds and discusses their significance from the perspective of Earth science. What do these ancient treasures tell us about our planet? How did legendary diamonds such as the Hope or the Cullinan form?
Fueled by decades of research, GIA’s new webinar-The Unique Story of Natural Diamond-uncovers the clues hidden within the world’s most popular gem.

SAME mohs scale indicating at diamond level in tester. greasy oily look, does not scrath ,solid form translucent have crystallized lump embedded on surface. they AREN'T yet polish ,naturally look and encased with calcium nitrate white color but it has window part for visual test a glassy inside and crystal appearance inside. am very curious to have verify my items . as possible. Thank Sir for the great information about the original formation of the Diamond. so I have a question about this issue: How do we get to know about Pressure and Temperature of crystal Inclusions in the Diamond to figure out the deep that they were formed?

It's only rare because DeBeers buys almost all of them as they come out of the ground and locks them up in hugh warehouses.

@@ModernProspector i did not say they dont have a price I said they are not rare, plus the pricing of diamonds is a scam, if you buy a diamond today just go try to sell it tomorrow and see what they will give you complared to what you paid , your jaw will drop lol its a scam
