GIA exists to connect people to the understanding of gems. As a long-standing scientific authority, GIA is not only a unique source for diamond knowledge, its grading reports inspire confidence wherever they appear.

As the birthplace of these standards, and with its investment in continued gemological research, GIA's authority is unequaled.
The world's most respected retailers, museums, auction houses and private collectors rely on the expertise of GIA graders to assess, grade and verify their gems. They recognize the importance of complete, unbiased, scientific information in gem assessment, and absolutely trust GIA to provide it.

A culet! <gasp!>
I must criticize the lack of objectivity and clear bias of the GIA. Whether synthetic or natural, a diamond is a diamond. This video looks like an ad campaign
Beautiful.
Sir, if someone wants to get his stone tested, how can he get it done from your lab? I am Vijay Pratap Goswami from India. Sir, please give me information about this subject. It will be a great favor to you. I have created a channel of my stone on KZread with the ID of which like and comment. done this is my id
Hello, thank you for reaching out to GIA. If you would like to submit a stone for analysis at a GIA laboratory, please visit our website at www.gia.edu/how-to-submit-a-gem to get started. Thank you!
Very nice video
Would you agree that, GIA doesn't know how large diamonds are formed. GIA doesn't certify the names of mineral inclusions, GIA doesn't have knowledge on points naive diamond s of RAMULA KOTA. GIA DON'T INFORMATION on latest diamond mines. GIA DON'T HAVE EXACT INFORMATION on diamonds with less than 3.25 specific gravity. The certificate being issued by the GIA ARE NOT SACROSANCT IN MANY WAYS.

A Job Well Done Chris! Your friendly demeanor, warm vocal tone, and concise delivery of information made the video feel more like a private tour than a industrial informational. And to The Behind The Scenes Production Crew, here is my thumbs up salute for your work too.
Thx
Just learning about gold and jewelry while I wait for my next apt as a 💈 Barber, free time spent well haha
Jesus Loves you ♥️
Excellent video. And it featured some beautiful diamonds. Subscribed.
Thx Dr and GIA.🎉
Can you heal cracks? And what’s a window?
This female likes the purple, and blue shades. I really enjoyed the video.
Indian jewellery design
Keep it up, your teachings are very helpful. Thanks.
One if the finest jeweller in India.
sadly, the environment of Madagascar has been raped and ruined to satify the greed of humanity for gems and minerals. Mangrove areas are hatcheries for both freshwater and saltwater fish and are important for both birds and animals. Humans will never learn and we continue to ruin our planet.
Nice steon 🇮🇳 very beautiful stones
Nice steon 🇮🇳
Not because I am Indian you put our jewels on world stage.
Admire your jewels.
They used more than 20 top skill artist and just barely finishes the crafting part. They have shown the result in Tiktop. The designer say they will use another 2 year to finish polishing it. 2010 to2024 already 14 years passed
Making wonderful things to memorise.
👍👍👍❤❤❤💎💎💎 Thank you
Thanks again for your time
Everything you guys described and explained in your lecture. Your presentation says that I have 2 diamonds. I'm looking at them with magnification 2 diamond magnifiers. I have a diamond tester and it also says. They're diamonds and is. So I guess the only thing that will certify my curiosity and confirm is to take it to a GIA specialist. I don't have any technical questions per say , however the frosted the groves and bubbles the platelets are all there..
I bought one for my gem library, so i could learn to recognize it. Surprised by how pretty a stone it is. A consumer would never know its been altered unless disclosed. Thanks GIA for the information.
Great video. Sadly the auto-generated subtitles aren't accurate. Does anyone know what the 3 rare minerals are that Wim mentions at 3:36? Pezzatite? ? ?
londonite, liddicotite
@kevinschumacher8000 thanks for those names, the liddicoatite looks incredible!
Is it possible to have one gem with a star on the front and a cat eye on the rear?
Such giants
I’ve been to Northern Madagascar as well. Madagascar is a very rich country in terms of natural resources, but its people live in dire poverty. Locals have no choice but to mine illegally, it’s that or let their families starve. In the end, it’s the governments and foreign corporations that make all the profits while destroying the fragile ecosystem.
Great information ! Many thanks
Magical!
Excellent presentation, wish you could do one on Madagascar quartz and agates, my specialty. I have carved some Mad river agates into one of a kind stones years ago.... cant wait to see a deposit in person someday.
Excellent production
Looks okay
Good ❤
Hi very good
I have a rough diamond carbonado, how can I contact you?
Ok
Good Job
It’s not comparable to any Natural gemstone it’s basically more affordable only they used the Name brand of Diamonds wich was used for centuries ago as high end gemstone and now they say it’s in 1$ absolutely the majority of young people couple following the diamond “name” even if it’s labeled as laboratory stones we always say it’s not investment or anything can hold his value even for the next 24hrs but it’s legal to do and they do it
You are incorect. The name Diamond is used for tetrahedral Sp3 C lattices (4H C) which is what both natural and lab grown diamonds are. So yes, they are both diamond. Cheers from a Gemologist, GG, GIA
