    The Ruger LCP Max changed everything for me. I sold off most of my other carry pistols and primarily carry the LCP Max now due to its unparalleled small size and capacity. And with 11 rounds of Underwood Xtreme Defender ammo I never feel underpowered. The convenience of carrying something smaller can't be underestimated.

    I just wanted to add in that the Xtreme Defender is a really good choice, because it's not velocity dependent. Which is something that can be lacking in the caliber, when it comes to short, short barrels. It's also lighter, so there's less weight being carried. Also since it's not an expanding round, you get a better penetration with it, than you would with a hollow point. And don't have to worry about velocity dependent expansion, which is something that can be affected by short barrels in low weight caliber rounds. Top choice there! 👍

    Some of that ammo is plus P. Ruger recommends AGAINST plus P ammo in the LCP Max 380. So, if you're using ANY 380 +P ammo, you're risking damaging the pistol, or worse.

    "People ask 'Why do you carry in a children's park?" I think they summed it up best in the Blade Trilogy movie. Because the world isn't nice. -Blade There's also "Because stuff happens". And because children and moms are seen as easy prey by predators.

    Great video. I love my LCP Max’s. My favorite is the 75th anniversary version. It has the elite aluminum trigger and a stainless slide. I also love the slide serrations. They are deeper and sharper than the standard LCP max.

    I love my LCP Max. I’ve run 750 rounds through it with zero malfunctions. This includes, Hornady Critical Defense, Underwood Black cherry flat nose Hard Cast, Underwood Xtreme Defenders 90 grain and 68 grain plus p and standard loads plus several brands of copper jacket ball ammo. Granted I’ve upgraded all the springs, pins and the trigger with MCarbo and Galloway Precision parts. Also put Tru Glo Tritium Night sights. It shoots straight and hits hard. Plus is easy to carry. It’s a winner. Two big thumbs up 👍👍

    I consider the LCP Max the best pocket pistol design ever. Mine is upgraded with every Mcarbo part and a Hogue grip sleeve. I use the 12-round mag. I consider it perfectly fine as my only carry gun. But I also have a Sig P365 in 9mm, with both a pocket and IWB holster for different clothing. The Max and 365 pocket holsters are both DeSantis. I load it with Fiocchi ball ammo, reasoning HP ammo is not going to expand much if at all from a 2.75" barrel. And anyway you need penetration. Single best upgrade: heavier recoil spring.

    The LCP Max changed the game with capacity in a true pocket pistol, but don't sleep on a broken in Kahr CW380. That thing is tiny and you get 8 rounds. Its very accurate and the trigger is actually good for a little micro pistol.

    I bought one the day after it was announced. It makes a great all-around carry pistol but, to be honest, the honeymoon wore off after several months. I had owned a Kel-Tec P32 for a decade already, and I guess I had just been spoiled by how light and slim that gun is. I'm still glad to own the MAX, and I carry it in the front pocket of my BDU duty pants while traveling to and from work. Off duty, though, I'm always in jeans and the MAX, combined with a quality holster, just gets a bit bulky. Most of the time, whatever is in my pocket is backing up something else worn on the belt, anyway.

    Had this for 6 months now, literally no more excuses to not carry. Different tools for different situations of course. Drop it in a picket or belt holster, one mag in the “5th” pocket and another one in the left pocket. Amazing how you can easily walk around with 31 rounds with minimal inconvenience.

Knives keys flashlights pens notepads lighters and I’m now at the point where I want nothing in my pockets or on me if I can help it lol. So many days I just do not feel like carrying a gun..but I just can’t NOT carry one. so the ruger lcp max is amazing for me. l still carry my glock 19x which I love and A family member keeps recommending the shield plus so that’s probably my next buy. How do you prefer to carry? For most pockets the LCP Max is going to be hard to beat in capacity and size. IWB a lot of the micro 9's are where it's at. You CAN fit some of the micro 9's in your pocket depending on how big of a pocket we are talking about. For instance my P365 will fit in my cargo pants, but it does print a bit when sitting and the pockets on those pants are almost comically large. In a pair of slacks or jeans it's a bit much still so i go with the LCP Max or try to IWB carry if i can.

  • @nightwines
    @nightwinesАй бұрын

    While the size and capacity of it being a double stack is amazing, it's the weight that makes it even more mind numbing. Only the spectrum at 10oz weighs less than the Max at 10.6oz. The pico while significantly smaller is half an ounce more and by the time you add the ammo to both, it will be a wash weight wise but the Ruger will have 4 more rounds. If you have a 12 round mag (+1) while it would be bigger it will hardly weigh more than the pico and have 6 more rounds in it. And while the bodyguard is smaller as well it weighs 1.5oz more than the Ruger. You could load the Max with the 12 round mag (+1) and it would still be a wash weight wise compared to the body guard.

    Had one early on and hated it. I have x-large or larger size hands and am fine with big 44mag and my 454 casull type recoil but the little LCP recoil is nasty for a little pistol and i couldnt hit anything. Its just not made for my hands. Ended up just going with an Shield 40, glock23, and 642 k-frame and called it good enough. Dont need a ton carry pistols if one or two work.

    After watching this video, I got a recommendation for a vid by IraqVeteran8888 for the Ruger Max 9. Which, ya know, he's a good content creator, and does a lot for the sport. But. That made me want a sibling rivalry video. Ruger LCP Max Vs Ruger Max 9. How do they compare?

  • @UN-intelligent
    @UN-intelligent3 ай бұрын

    In my opinion, in most scenario if you really just want a pocket gun the og LCP is king. Unless you must have upgraded sights and the 3 extra rounds in the mag, it's most you'll ever realistically need. Not saying those scenarios aren't out there, but what are the chances? Just judge the area you live in and buy accordingly. If you think the fitment and slide rattle are fixed, they're not. All flaws asside, it's what I want out of a 4-5,000rd lifespan gun I shoot once a year after break-in.

    Glock would be great if they were 300-400 dollars but nowadays they are like 600+ for the mos version. While every other gun company is making every gun optic ready and many are just as reliable and had under 500. Beretta apx, cz p10/07/09 etc. I still like Glock but I agree they are falling behind. If your listening Glock Mos on every model Better triggers Always front serrations Better grip texture This would be a good start, they just need to start addressing some of the concerns being solved by the aftermarket with their own solution. Like the m&p 2.0 or pdp texture spectacular

    I think every time you do something like this, the first thing you should do is compare the size to the Glock 19, so we all have a really good idea of the exact scale.

    The Ruger LCP Max has been my EDC for 1.5 years now. I upgraded the recoil spring and guide rod to the Galloway Precision ones. That and adding a Traction Grip really made it much less snappy and easier to shoot. Also, I have the Vedder Pocket Locker holster too.

    Bodyguard 2.0 is coming. S&W put a teaser ad for it in Concealed Carry magazine earlier this month. I imagine it will be high capacity like the LCP Max. My LCP Max trigger bites me. I'm not a big fan of it.

    Dude....same. I hear the siggaurd?? Trigger fixes the issue, but I've never done a trigger job. I did already get sights for it though. I'm about to play around and see if I can figure out the bite issue without changing the trigger. Might try to make a custom pad out of some 3m stuff and cut a slot for the trigger safety.

    Glock 26, it's more versatile than the Glock 43. A 26 is a little bit smaller and chunkier but that makes it easier to shoot, plus it can take Glock 17 and 19 mags. If you skip the 26 and go with the .40cal Glock 27 you can then buy 9mm & .357sig drop in conversion barrels. Now you have a pistol that is multicaliber and can be as big/small as you need it to be.

Anyways I sorted was drawn to the G26 because of the video "The Hurricane Glock" made by Iraqveteran8888...made me a glock fanboy... anyways to make a long story short I haven't rented the G26 yet but man does the G43 feels great in my hand balance, weight, & egos wanna just put 200 rounds through her sexy pistol. make it rain... thanks for your precious time@@Zantar45
