What makes it even sadder is that Rukkhadevata was never mentioned in the world quest. Also, that track was dedicated to their children, the Pari, all whom resembles their three mothers the Hydro archon (oceanid frame), Rhukkadevata (Aranara features) and Nabu Malikata (they wear chaplets).

@@Nokyyyyy Pairidaeza is just the vocals while Oracle of the Void is just an instrumental version; Her Wishes combines them to have the vocals playing with the instrumental in the background! :) Once-Joyful Dream (56:23) also plays in the Eternal Oasis after completing a certain quest, and it has a completely different melody from the other three. it's a beautifully underrated track in my opinion, but it does unfortunately replace Her Wishes in-game

23:08 is my favorite...it's so melancholic...Especially the part at 24:02 When i heard this for the first time i was very high up, looking out over the coast and desert. Really made it sink in that we're finished with Sumeru now.

That whole sequence, not just the music is just... stunning. It's crazy how a still image can be this powerful with the right music.

Genshin has come so far, from just 2 siblings and a newbie to an entire fan base of fans and friends, the character demos have come so far as well. Ventis not massively edited but banger music demo to raidens massively edited upbeat music demo.. from 1.0 to 3.6? We've come a long way travelers, who's willing to stick to the end?? I know I am! 🎉

Ocean of Grains - 01:05:23 and Desert Lullaby - 01:07:10 So that's what they're called. Probably the most peaceful desert songs, and most certainly gives a false sense of security and safety considering where they play.

personally, I really like shadow in ruins at 42:22 it's technically the first khaenri'ah music we've gotten, which I think makes it special. also, I just like atmospheric sci-fi music a lot.

It reminds me of how Ludvig Forssell (Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid V) would compose music ngl - and it's perfect for the ruins down there

It's interesting how music of the desert areas is mostly calm, using few instruments and overall more ambient. It's saying that there is little to no life in the desert, and all the great civilizations are now gone forever

03 Maidens of Sancitity feels like a song to reflect on all of Sumeru. This region has been such a delight to explore and experience and I really hope Fontaine lives up to the bar they set

@@piyushverma7534 the previous hydro archon died in the cataclysm where the pari oasis is, rukkhadevata turned her body in to the amirta pool (the place where you bring the yellow light plumes) water

One gotta appreciate the peacefulness and mindfulness of the desert from these particular themes Dance of scorpions (21:09) Golden crescent (23:08) (best iteration) A pearl amongst legends (25:17)

genshin’s ost will always remain one of its strongest, most immersive and genuinely amazing parts of the whole franchise.. the depth of all the songs, how some of them give you chills or feel nostalgic, there’s a song for everything it feels like (‘:

The Sumeru soundtrack is probably my favorite out of all of the regions. It’s so pretty and dramatic. Especially track 3. The desert ost is amazing as well.

52:40 when I heard this bit in game just after talking to jeht while she was telling the story and then began reading the letter of her mother. It gave me chills.

The story goes that the Khavarena shard came from Nabu Malikata, the shard was planted by Rukkhadevata (adult form, so this is pre Archon war. Remember, dendro archon was teenage form rukhha), which turned into Simurg, the divine bird. Thousand of years later, during the cataclysm (Khaenrian destruction) Simurg sacrificed herself and drank the Amrita (the posthumous juices of the late Hydro Archon). These created the Pari beings, thus all three goddesses are said to be their mothers. 😊

Pre archon war or pre cataclysm? I'm confused 🤔 why does "adult form" Rukkhadevata indicates pre Archon war? Does it mean that between the Archon war and the cataclysm she is known as "old form" or something? And also, is there another form of Rukkhadevata ever mentioned? I haven't finished the quests, so I really don't know. If you're saying "adult form" to distinguish her from Nahida, you don't have to, they're not the same person/archon at all.

@JV-kn3yz shes rukhha who has shrunk to teenage body (body of mona, keqing, kirara, etc.) by using her powers to undo King Deshret's mistake. This teenage rukhha/nahida was the one who joined the archon war. See dendro archon statue. Inazuman archon statue is also Makoto who was the one who became the archon.

Sumeru Desert OSTs are just so beautiful sounding dude! Literally equally on pair with Rainforest OSTs (Track 1-5 is so heart-warming)

Sumeru's desert is not entirely filled with sands, the music also enough to cover it

I could listen Her Wishes and Maidens of Sancity forever. It's so beautiful as if you can see the oasis itself

when i found the amrita pool, and maidens of sanctity was playing, when I tell you I fully stopped playing and just listened, I cant even explain in words how beautiful I found it. and then I found the story behind the pool (no spoilers here dw) and it made the music even more sad and beautiful. That said, so many of these are soooooo beautiful I love how hoyo made sumeru's music

"Pairidaeza" and "Maidens of Sanctity" still stir the depths of my heart with an indescribable intensity. Two of my most favorite Genshin OSTs

5:41 I don't why or maybe it's just me, but after finishing the 4.2 archon quest, the song title and melody gives a whole new meaning to what a mother's love looks like. That is in terms of a god's for their people

16:32 this song conveys grief dispair and then hopefulness. For some reason I am in love with how it tells a story.

I was so excited for this album in particular, the Jeht quest songs were incredible, Her Wishes played in my teapot for a very long time, and eventually I switched to one of the Vourukasha Oasis songs. They're all so lovely.

I wish they would also add 5:42 in the spincrystal collection because its just so calming while youre roaming your teapot

I don't recognise half of these songs because I've been behind for the last 6 months of content but it doesn't stop them from being absolute bangers

sumeru has by far my favourite soundtrack, hoyo mix just never misses

Maidens of Sanctity and Sorush's Purity are definitely my favourite from here. Honestly, all the osts are amazing. Sumeru's tracks are the best for me.

idk how 1guy can compose so many masterpieces in 1 life time yet alone in less than a decade hoyo staff are goated

Its always the music in Genshin that they do so well, plenty of games may come and go, with stunning gameplay and a lot of button mashing but genshin will always offer that nice feeling of just listening to the music and look at the surroundings around you in game. I will always have this connection with genshin that none of the other games are lacking. We all grow up and most of us wont be palying games forever, we have to put down the controller, keyboard and mouse and phone at some point but one thing for sure, the time we spent on all these games that we enjoyed will stay with us til the end :D

Dance of Scorpions and Golden Crescent are easily among my fav tracks in the entire game. First time I heard them, I was instantly in love.

57:54 Kingdom of Dust is probably the most evocative desert OST for me. Really fits the theme of a once glorious place devoured by the sands of time
