It's played mainly by (probably modern replica) of an ancient Chinese instrument called bianzhong (编钟). Basically it's a big wooden stand with a set bronze bells of different pitches hung on it. The oldest existing complete bianzhong set dates back to 430 BC and is still playable.

I believe it is technically Herblord's, though Baizhu made more appearances which is why he overshadows Changsheng with this leitmotif. It is Herblord's leitmotif

@@CropCeruse I mean, the leitmotif plays in bubu pharmacy, baizhu's teaser (which barely even features changsheng), baizhu's segment in the 3.6 trailer, and a variation of the leitmotif plays in his demo... it's just as much his leitmotif.

i'd like to think the leitmotif signifies how intertwined changsheng and the doctors (including baizhu now) are because of their contract, they even share a theme... if only hyv can just give us more lore about them, or involved them in the chenyu main quest at all... sigh

@@lilali9797 Yeah I wish that too also, but you know they are side characters that didn't really impact much on the main story despite I was genuinely hyped for Chenyu Bales lore, turned out it was more pleasant than we expected. Remuria basically finalised Fontaine's main story for now, we still got Mt. Esus too

Im surprised no one's talking about 16:40 and 18:12. I find it incredibly beautiful how the violin sounds so mysterious and lost and yet gives the feelings of confidence. In 18:12 hearing the cello and more violins come in with the deep beat of the drum was perfectly constructed. I wish it was just a little longer. It left me wanting to hear more.
