Manners and professionalism should be maintained with a level of respect, but should CEO reveal himself (undercover again), someone is in for a firing!!! Mike and his lame, dry jokes will destroy the office, the resolutions and apologies will nearly be too late!!! Looks like Ross was in the building, Jessica managed to identify him!!! Hold on, Supermission Squad, this might have a nice ending!!!

I grew up an only child and had periods when I was by myself and learned to entertain myself. Problem was, a coworker at a former job got annoyed by what I had done to entertain myself and neither one of us backed down and went back and forth. Another coworker lectured me on not annoying the other coworker, and I made a smart aleck comment, annoying the second coworker. In hindsight, I see a few things: 1)We had zero conflict management skills (another former coworker had previously thrown things at a colleague) 2)I needed to be aware that what I find entertaining may be annoying to someone else and act accordingly. My minor in peace and conflict studies helped me see better ways to approach conflict: perhaps Mike and Josephine could talk about ways to have all their needs met. (I did consider joking could be Mike’s way of relieving stress, whereas as his terrible jokes just made it worse for Josephine. Perhaps HR could help him find better ways of stress management. Alternatively, Mike could recognize his pitfalls, such as wearing jokes out, a tendency I myself can have.)

I understand about what might be entertaining to one person might be annoying to someone else. On a Website filled with Teenagers and Young Adults, I started a thread about my fart stinking. I got a LOT of laughs, and even the Admin was laughing. I went to another Website and started the same thread about my farts stinking. The second Website was filled with middle aged Grandparents who were in their 50's at the time. They said stuff like,"I'm a 55 year old Grandfather. Why would I want to read about your farts stinking? Disgusting.I will be reporting your thread." One Website's humor is another Website's disgust.

He wasn't trying to be pushy, he was trying to be funny and fun. Josephine was trying to be serious and work. Josephine did offer a compromise, he could tell his jokes on their lunch break when she'd be more open to them. 😀

Galatians 6:7-9 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
