My only response is... No one outside of our nation or within our nation will ever create a law that is in direct defiance of the Constitution of the United States of America or the Bill of Rights and not cause widespread violence. Americans won't stand for politicians in America to do such a thing does anyone think that we're going to allow government from other nations to tell us to defy our own constitution? I don't see that as a promotion of peace for the average American. Americans have sat idly by and allowed their rights to be denied and violated over and over. I for one Believe that this move, or any move to disarm The average law abiding citizen here in America will only be ..... "The straw that breaks the camels back". I really can't see it happening peacefully. It doesn't even make any sense that they are hell Bent to take away the rights of a 100% totally law-abiding citizen who under today's laws governing the purchase and possession of firearms in this country absolutely have to be law abiding individuals, or they would not be abel to buy the firearm to begin with. The only firearms they can absolutely deny American citizens are the ones that they know who has them and where they're located. The rest are illegal and only criminals will have those particularly true if they pass anti-gun laws. Any such laws would only be effective against law abiding gun owners because their firearms are traceable and they know who has them. When a gun dealer runs you for a background check I'm sure none of us are gullible enough to think that the alphabet agency did not keep a record of the approved applicants. There are still many states and cities in the USA that do what they can to uphold the rights of US citizens. Therefore, they won't or can not do the same that the leaders in those places did. For an example look at Illinois. They past into law (in a very immoral way) a bill that basic bans every gun in the state. But look how many sheriffs and other officials said that they will not enforce this unconstitutional law

I livr from mexico, i have a legal firearm (which is a whole bureucratic story) and reforms on article 10 of 1917 constitution are mostly on carry permits, fines and sentences for posession for unregistered firearms, law enforcement cartriges and newer explosive materials. We have a single store in the capital (with mostly shitty selection, which is open to everyone, even you can check DCAM selection and roast it, be my guest) and the whole process of psychometric tests, background checks, and bureucracy is mostly avoid giving firearms to people who can commit atrocities with them. ( also costs a lot of money) i have the upmost respect for americas's right to bear firearms, what i am against is the people using 2nd amendment as a shield for not being a gun responsable owner.

I bet they wouldn't go to Russia and try that that's why we need to take a hint from those type of countries and worry about ourselves and our own people the right to keep and bear arms is what keeps us safe

There’s something abnormal going on here. I normally ignore the gun control politics as it’s usually just people stirring the pot or it’s just drama that blows over within a couple weeks or maybe a month… this isn’t the normal activity that I hear and it needs to be stopped.

I think this video is important to share as we need people educated on gun history internationally, too. Look at the changes to Article 10 of Mexican Constitution from 60s to 70s. You were allowed to carry outside your home and defend yourself and there were gun stores/ranges!! Mexico resticted them so only the corrupt could have power!! Only cartels and bureaucracy win in Mexico. Example of why WE SHOULD KEEP GUNS AND TELL UN/CORRUPT MEXICO TO F OFF!!!

Curiously, an international treaty, per the US Constitution, becomes the supreme law of the land. Lots of people forget that. Further, nowhere in the Constitution does it set forth a process by which the country can withdraw from a treaty once it's signed. Beware treaties, always and forever.

No. Ratified treaties can supercede state laws. But they cannot supercede the Constitution, ratified or not. Mexico cannot prevent Smith & Wesson from manufacturing 30 round magazines and the guns that accept them any more than Washington DC can (in absence of a constitutional amendment). It will be squashed by the Supreme court if it even makes it that far.
