I definitely believe that for areas like Umhlanga to survive on a longer term, wealth needs to get distributed much,much better in South Africa. See how many establishments are empty with almost no customers and all those new model expensive German cars parked on the streets? . These can't rely on a very limited wealthy white population.

Unfortunately the majority is doing very little to safeguard the good things that the majority built. They built Durban for themselves and then they left it to the majority after apartheid. If you go to the Durban CBD now you will see unkept buildings, garbage and the smell of piss. The only good areas of the country where you will feel safe and is nicely kept up is the areas the minority whites live. This is the sad truth of how black people run things.
