Hi Chisgule! I have a question for you regarding Cao Cao. My Cao Cao is currently at level 1 with no sculptures invested, although I now have enough sculptures saved up to max out his first skill. I know you mentioned in your guide for Cao that after you max his first skill you should level him up to level 30 but refrain from unlocking his last skill until you have invested some sculptures in his second and third skills. However, I am not particularly interested in his second skill. Therefore, should I (after maxing his first skill) work towards unlocking all his skills (which would then give me a 2/3 chance to upgrade a skill I’m interested in upgrading when spending sculptures) or still refrain from unlocking his last skill? Sorry if my comment was confusing. Keep up the good work! Your videos are both very entertaining and informative.

Does this concept of rage tanking only apply in barb? what would you recommend for PVP with the same concept (rage tanking)?

I have enough legendary sculptures to max his first skill but then would be out of them. Would this be totally stupid, since I might actually land Charles sculptures or the like? Thanks.

Hi Chisgule I think it would have been interesting for you to try boudica and Richard. That is the pairing I use primarily for barbarians and they are pretty insane, they just have so much synergy! My boudica is maxed and my Richard is at 5-3-1-4 and I can infinitely farm barbs without my health bar diminishing at all.

That’s an interesting idea, will give that a shot at some point.

I would like to see Caesar in the mix because of his dmg and defense increase. Also what would be the best pvp tanking strat on mutiply armies. Some commanders like Hermann's skill uses silence for 2 secs. Lastly if you could run the numbers again with the Rome elite Legionary. Because they have a shield I think they would be "tankyer".

Try Lohar and Joan and also Joan and Richard for tanky. Joan if configured right has broken healing properties.

If you can, Try these on some altar guardians to see how the tanking works in longer fights. Would love to see these working with the extra rage generation from Joan of Arc to see if thta makes it swing one way or the other.

cao cao plus lohar combined is better, its faster walking since you can use cavs and they kill faster and also heals a good amount. conclusion that is better for this event

these reports do not show lohars healing on leaving the fight

I love my Lohar and Richard! I just wish Richard was maxed on skills.

The best tanky pair is Sun tzu expertesed primary with skill tree and richard secondary. It is stupid good for pve

Hey chisgule, I know this is a different topic but I was wondering about the talent hasty departure. I know it boosts your March speed upon leaving a structure. My question is, is a resource node, say food, considered a structure.? So would i receive the buff hoping across resource tiles? Thanks. By the way I love your videos. I appreciate the in depth strategy information.

Yep they do count, which makes the talent still viable when your troops are not near any allies

They can only be used in place of starlight sculptures. They cannot be used for other commander skill levels.

I think Charles is good as a Tank... But he is not so easy to get... So I use Minamoto and Cao Cao... They are very strong and with a Second Army , Scipio and Cleopatra they are Powerful

Plz try lohar with Fredrick and plz tell your opinion.

I want to see you try Richard + Joan expertise. In my opinion, one of the best tanking combo!

Martel as primary then richard as secondary or vice versa?

The core idea behind rage tanking is the use of the support tree rejuvenate talent. For pvp you would do this with Joan primary and optimally Richard secondary.

Any reason you didn't even tested Scipio as main which i thought is the best generic none legendary tank. Richard is amazing but he is legendary and probably most don't have him.

Scipio can't compare to Richard here because he doesn't heal at all. My lohar+scipio gets drained after 4 or so lvl25 barbs, but my lohar+richard can easily do 10+ barbs straight

Scipio IS very tanky, but the heals only kick in after he gets super low. He’s better against many weaker enemies than a single strong enemy.

@@Chisgule No arguing just hoping you will make a Ultimate tank for both Legedenry and Epic but that will work both for barbs and none barbs - someone with limited funds will not be able to invest in both. unless Lohr is the best PVP tank as well ? if so I should invest in him ASAP

For pvp I would not use lohar. A commander with the skill tree should be the primary.

this is really bad way to do tests.. lohar have barbarian buffs which only work in barbs. You have test against players, and the results will be completely different..

Think about what you want to accomplish long term and focus there. Both are good for garrison, one better for AOE combat the other better at tanking.
