@@maverickworld8192 Indeed. He was great! He met King who had been playing for 5 years. He wanted to be in a band. 1 year later... Slayer. As the story goes. But he was aga or better player than Kerry. Way more talent. All the Satanic lyrics made people ask or assume they were Devil Worshipers. When asked once, Tom said, "You don't assume horror movie makers are psycho killers do you? Same applies here. But it was a valid question if you ask me. Some bands are absolutely into that shit. Never hears of an ax murdering movie producer. Norwegian Black Metal is full of em. Watain comes to mind. They are legit. Even sound good, but I feel like I need a shower after 1 song, so don't listen much.

Aww man, i forgot how much i digged ol skool thrash metal back then. This vhs was integral in my growing up days in the Iate 80s. It’s gold from the past.
I'm still convinced to this day that these three bands are the fathers of death metal: Slayer's speed, Venom's vocals and lyrics, Exodus' attitude and savagery.

Krimson Vale venom is more first wave black metal like with Hell hammer and other r ands because they have a similar sound, Bathory defined a particular sound but they’re both pure black metal, in my opinion this is all subjective when it comes to origins, this has been up for debate for years but it’s always fun to talk to others where they think where and when what genre came from
