At the end of a long trip, I always like to kick back and get pampered a bit, and when you’re in the Middle East or South Asia, that means getting a haircut and massage! Come with me as I get a Pakistani haircut in Muscat, Oman!
I love getting Pakistani- and Indian-style haircuts when I travel. They’re so relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. My barber Fahim was going to give me a haircut, a shave, a massage, and a facial. I was joined by my friends and guided Ahmed and Ahmed from Oman Travel.

Fahim is from Pakistan and has been a barber for 20 years. I wanted to look younger for my shawarma tour later. Fahim added some gel to my beard and then torched a razor, which he used to line me up.
While he cleaned me up, we chatted about our favorite Pakistani dishes. He loves lassi, and I’m a huge fan of nihari, chapli kebabs, and haleem. We also talked about how amazing the Omani people are. I loved his shaving skills.
Then, he took electric clippers to shave a bit more off and to fade my sideburns. It was really unique and different.
Then, he sprayed my head with water and added some gel before using the razor to shave off the hair that had grown in the past four days. It felt so good and relaxing.
Next, we did something I’d never done before. He added some wax to my ears and som e more to my nose to take off the blackheads. Then, he took them off after one minute. My skin felt as soft and smooth as a baby’s.
Then, Fahim added some face wash to my head, face, and neck. Him rubbing it in on my forehead felt amazing. Then, hw cleaned it off with a towel and applied a mud mask. While it sent, he started on the head massage. It felt so good on the top of my head and back of my neck.
He even massaged inside my ears and got my back. Then, we went over to a sink to rinse off the mask and washed off my face with soap and water. Finally, he dried me off and massaged my eyebrows, ears, and temples. He did such an incredible job with everything!

You should be traveling with your wife if not already and kids.
I always cringe whenever I see those sharp razors. But David you have to talk less when he is shaving you. He did a fantastic job. I laughed when he applied the hot wax: imagine what women go through when they get waxed: not for me. Disposable razors for me, still shave my legs at 70. David, the ladies are learning a lot of your weaknesses (your tender spots) whenever you do these videos. Anyway, you look good, well-shaved and cleaned up. The guy is really good. Yeah, bald is beautiful.🤗🇹🇹🇨🇦
