I've seen dozens of shop tours and this is the first time I've seen a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher. 2 items that are often over looked. Nice video

The "Tiny House" of wood shops. Incredibly efficient use of your space. Can you imagine all the wives out there whose husbands have much larger shops? If they saw this video, they'd be asking their husbands why they needed so much space. And you've even accommodated your family in your space with the laundry area, bike storage, "attic" storage and craft corner. Well done, and you have a new subscriber.

Excellent use of space. Nice shop for any size.
Blake, I just revisited this video because I am searching for ideas for my shop. I also work out of a single bay garage. Actually, I have a 3 car, but living in Nebraska the cars need to stay inside during the cold winter months. I have approximately 245 sq ft., so organization is a necessity. I love the way you have thought out and implemented your spaces.

Been looking all over the place for different shop ideas - taking my unfinished 2-car garage and converting half into a workshop. TONS of ideas here - thanks! Your shop looks *really good*! The thought you have put into organization and aesthetics is obvious.
I bought my house about a year ago and it has a shed the size of a one car garage in the back yard. I’ve been watching your video over and over again trying to get my shop set up similar to yours. It’s coming along great. Thanks for all the tips. I still need a drill press and shop vac
An excellent use of space and layout Blake. You have a really good setup in a small space and have some good ideas. The DEWALT tablesaw was my first tablesaw and was an excellent saw. You have some novel ideas such as the pen holder on the bench and your drawer unit with hand carved dovetail handles, etc. Very cool. New subscriber.... Ron

Make up your mind is that a chop saw or is that a miter saw a real wood worker would know the difference
@weberwoodshop

Nolan Riegsecker it’s both. The term is interchangeable.
@dirtyfingernailsauto8946
5 жыл бұрын
@@weberwoodshop Actually its not . A Chop saw is used in metalworking a Miter saw is used in Woodworking . For intent and purpose here it COULD be universal , but if you want to start calling things by the proper terms , then its a Miter saw ! Sorry i was typing with my Pen , I mean Keyboard .......... wait

Love the shop. I liked seeing how you have it organized. It gives me some ideas. I have a 12x24 shop I'm waiting to get set up. My shop will mostly be for metal though. Hey Blake! I've been watching and learning woodworking videos on KZread intently for over a year and this is the first time I've commented on anyone's stuff. I'm a huge fan of Jay Bates and April Wilkerson, etc., so it's funny that Jay happened to be the most recent comment below me, here, after 100's of comments. Your videos are superb, especially considering that these appear to be your first few ever!? I'm impressed with your demeanor and how down to earth you seem. I also respect that you don't have a shop full of brand-new state of the art equipment that's barely used, if you know what I'm saying? I appreciate and respect your craftsmanship and I LOVE the vibe and ideas that you have going in your shop! Wow. I am developing a shop in about 1/3 of a 2 car garage and there are dozens of things that you do and ideas that you give and that I model and aspire to do myself. I've been utilizing a dust deputy for a year, now, and swapping between small tools, but it doesn't work well for larger tools and I just received a new planer and am acquiring a jointer in short order, so I need to move to something dedicated with far larger CFM and 4" ducting. I only have 2 disappointments in learning about you and your channel... 1. You only have a couple videos so I'm limited in what I can learn from you! 2. You haven't yet gone big with dust collection yet, which is currently my next big project. You and I are like-minded in many ways and I would think that you'll do dust separation/collection similarly to how I would. Giving you a hard time a bit, here, but I wanted you to know and be encouraged that I just love who you seem to be and how you are doing what you do! I have far less experience or skills than you do and don't know if you care to have any advice or suggestions, but I couldn't help notice you struggling with that standard wood glue bottle when trying to get glue into those narrow cracks between lams in the plywood that you split during your router enclosure glue-up. Have you seen these by Fastcap? www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=57367. They're unbelievable, only cost a few bucks, and are one of the best values for the money in my entire shop! The mini version with it's fine tips would have knocked that project out of the park. Just sayin. Anyway, I am sure looking forward to hundreds more of your videos! Thanks again for putting in the time to make them and your willingness to share you shop tour pretty much first thing (others often wait years to get to that)! Learning a TON and appreciate you, man! ;-) LEIF

Thanks for the kind words! I don’t have one of those glue bottles but the original glue bottle actually works great for forcing glue down into cracks because the flat hole can create a nice seal against the wood if you push hard enough.
Great use of space! I too have a 1-car garage shop. Definitely got some cool ideas from your video, thanks for sharing

According to Google Earth your "infinite" cutting length is only 214ft. The neighbor across the street has a backyard fence,hence inhibiting your total free space for cuttage.

Great little space you have created for yourself. Shows you don't need a giant shop to make. I really like the small scale woodworking bench. That could fit almost anywhere. Ideal idea! Good work and good luck.
To add a bit of Crocodile Dundee..."Now that's a woodshop..!!!"
where's the broke in chairs and the kegerator?nevermind this must be a 2 part video..lol.
