Standard Disclaimer: Putting your soft, squishy fingers near powerful sharp spinning things is dangerous. I've been doing this for a while and I know what I'm doing but even I'm not invincible. I take a lot of safety precautions based on my level of experience and not all of them are shown on camera. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable with. If it makes you nervous you're probably doing it wrong. Don't do anything stupid. Reapply sunscreen often and floss before bed. Is anyone actually still reading this?

The "Tiny House" of wood shops. Incredibly efficient use of your space. Can you imagine all the wives out there whose husbands have much larger shops? If they saw this video, they'd be asking their husbands why they needed so much space. And you've even accommodated your family in your space with the laundry area, bike storage, "attic" storage and craft corner. Well done, and you have a new subscriber.

Actually, I have a 3 car, but living in Nebraska the cars need to stay inside during the cold winter months. I have approximately 245 sq ft., so organization is a necessity. Hey Blake! I've been watching and learning woodworking videos on KZread intently for over a year and this is the first time I've commented on anyone's stuff. I'm a huge fan of Jay Bates and April Wilkerson, etc., so it's funny that Jay happened to be the most recent comment below me, here, after 100's of comments. Your videos are superb, especially considering that these appear to be your first few ever!? I'm impressed with your demeanor and how down to earth you seem. I also respect that you don't have a shop full of brand-new state of the art equipment that's barely used, if you know what I'm saying? I appreciate and respect your craftsmanship and I LOVE the vibe and ideas that you have going in your shop! Wow. I am developing a shop in about 1/3 of a 2 car garage and there are dozens of things that you do and ideas that you give and that I model and aspire to do myself. I've been utilizing a dust deputy for a year, now, and swapping between small tools, but it doesn't work well for larger tools and I just received a new planer and am acquiring a jointer in short order, so I need to move to something dedicated with far larger CFM and 4" ducting. I only have 2 disappointments in learning about you and your channel... 1. You only have a couple videos so I'm limited in what I can learn from you! 2. You haven't yet gone big with dust collection yet, which is currently my next big project. You and I are like-minded in many ways and I would think that you'll do dust separation/collection similarly to how I would. Giving you a hard time a bit, here, but I wanted you to know and be encouraged that I just love who you seem to be and how you are doing what you do! I have far less experience or skills than you do and don't know if you care to have any advice or suggestions, but I couldn't help notice you struggling with that standard wood glue bottle when trying to get glue into those narrow cracks between lams in the plywood that you split during your router enclosure glue-up. Have you seen these by Fastcap? www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=57367. They're unbelievable, only cost a few bucks, and are one of the best values for the money in my entire shop! The mini version with it's fine tips would have knocked that project out of the park. Just sayin. Anyway, I am sure looking forward to hundreds more of your videos! Thanks again for putting in the time to make them and your willingness to share you shop tour pretty much first thing (others often wait years to get to that)! Learning a TON and appreciate you, man! ;-) LEIF

  • @weberwoodshop

Thanks for the kind words! I don’t have one of those glue bottles but the original glue bottle actually works great for forcing glue down into cracks because the flat hole can create a nice seal against the wood if you push hard enough.

Hey Blake! Very well thought out, love the efficient (and effective) use of the space you have available. I too am a 1 car garage woodworker - actually, an ADHD woodworker. There is no way I could EVER achieve such a nice and tidy shop - but, I sure can admire yours. Great work, and thanks for sharing!!! May your shop be filled with shavings, chips and sawdust all year long, - “Mr. Measure Twice”

A True Master Craftsman! Didn't know they still existed 😂 Not only your wood work but the quality of your videos, the amount of work it takes to create these... it's insane. Hopefully you get to spend some time with your family, lol. Truly inspiring Blake!!!

Brilliant use of space, light, color and texture. Several nice little innovations I may copy. Particularly liked the diamond-shaped sacrificial insert on the drill press table.

I've watched quite a few wood shop tours and you are the first one I've seen who also uses a DeWalt 746 Woodworker table saw! I have had one for a lot of years and I love it! Too bad they quit making them! I think they had a winner. Thanks for the video.

Great quality video. Content, production, sound, editing.... just a fantastic job. And I'm just researching wood working shops to design mine, so i wasn't even trying to find a video with such great production! Nicely done. And the tool modifications were outstanding. I'll have to look into that brass set of incremental tools! Sharp!
