I came back to minecraft this week after 2 years. I first found a geode on my first day playing, it was such an experience. I was exploring a deep cave and came across a weird white block, I thought it was a fossil or something so I started digging and for my surprise I found myself inside this beautiful egg-like structure covered in amethyst. I had the luck to find this 5% complete geode and I had no idea what was going on so I started walking around and collecting blocks and shards. I guess I didn't even know amethyst was in the game so it caught me completely off guard. I love the chime the block makes and mining them is so satisfying. I did a quick google search and found out they were mostly for decoration but I picked up 2 stacks of them anyway but I guess this tinted glass block will be useful sometime

@@ebossnz6838 As said before, you would have to be remarkably lucky for that to be true. It would actually be more probable that you are running into geodes that are intersecting, which aren't technically full geodes still. They're 2 exposed geodes that broke each other. And also, even a singular block being exposed to ANYTHING that isn't the basalt layer is not a full geode. So if you find a geode that isn't exposed to air, but is exposed to stone or deepslate on one side...it's not a full geode either. It doesn't have to be exposed to a cave

Tinted glass was awesome for me. I have 2 spawners near each other in a realm with friends. Ive been build testing all sorts of different blocks for a spectator area around them. Couldn't find a solution. I had no idea they had a glass for my exact situation. Super nifty will for sure be using that in the future. Sadly I didn't see this video before spam mining a close geode to the community village. The thought of new building textures was too much. 🤣 bummer I missed an opportunity to setup a resource farm with the budding crystals, but I'm sure I'll find another.

If the note Block, when placed on top of an Amethyst Block, was to produce a chime note instead of the piano ones, it would have been a good mood-setting block. Maybe build a small Redstone clock that runs for 10 seconds, and activates when opening the door to the 2nd storey balcony. Imagine that: going outside to see the sunrise with a calming windchime-like sound in the background.
