Just wanna say i really like your channel and just subscribed. I used to play Minecraft a lot around 10 years ago and now that Im getting back into it everything is changed. Same, i reallyplayed alot in the old times till 1.9 released & never played again... it feels like a whole New game & thats insane

Got lucky and fished up a few rods with Mending, Lure and Luck of the Sea in a single session. Never have to worry about my fishing rod again.

@@JuanAntonioGarciaHeredia yes but you can multitask while fishing. I watch sports or netflix while listening for the sounds of fish. Only one button and you don't even need to look at Minecraft so it's not boring.

I’m glad someone like you is revamping every single guide to a specific feature in Minecraft both old features and new ones.

In Pc Bedrock, if you dig a 5x5x2 hole and fill it with water, you catch stuff. If you grab a bucket and fill the hole with just a few fish, you catch stuff VERY quickly - almost no wait time, enchanted pole or not. That suggests that fish proximity plays a role in wait time.

i've noticed this. average time for me is 3 seconds when the bubbles first show up, 2 more seconds to reeling point. i get like 12 fish a minute using the best rod.

Fishing is so relaxing. I love to fish from my boat too. I was really shocked when I came back to iminecraft and caught a saddle lol But very glad, I def needed one. Love your guides, they have been very helpful in getting up to speed on the newest features I've missed.

Tip for bedrock edition players, keep a fish(mob) near your fishing area to decrease the amount of waiting time

you only need the center block exposed to the sky. izzi pizzi.

Also I think fishing in ocean is a lot faster, there's maybe some chunks which increases your chances to fish. I tested it. Also I keep a cat on my boat so phantoms won't annoy me.

Interestingly enough fishing in the ocean is not quicker than fishing somewhere else but of course it is a nice place to fish as it will almost always have the available room for treasure loot.

Mending has pretty random chance. It's amazing to get. Also you can get really powerful bows and books from it. Gets you lots of infinity bows.

Yea true, but before getting a consistent source of blaze rods it's a good way to get it. Also you get some other items and make yourself stronger for nether exploration. As most of us are not speed runners lol.

​@@dejazO0 Villagers are an easy way in a way sure. But it takes a while to set up a breeder and build the hall, trading etc. Fishing lets you get everything right as you spawn at any time, and lets you get the best fishing rod from just combining the fished fishing rods in like max 4 hours

on bedrock you'll be able to reel the fish in the second the trail of bubbles reaches the bobber, you don't have to wait for it to go underwater.

My man's not wrong he does make the ultimate guides he can tell you literally everything there is to know about fishing

I think AFK fish farms will be fixed in the upcoming wild update, the censor block could potentially detect bobber making noise and real in the rod for us! Which should make it possible for AFK treasure fishing!

Easily the best ultimate fishing guide for 1.18. I've been wondering why the AFK farms wouldn't get enchanted items. Now I know. Great video.

There is actually another way to get saddles renewably, by killing the ravagers when you started a raid P. S. Sometimes I wish the probability to get puffer fish was lower 😂 I think I’m the only one with this problem.

Well if your fishing you might as well get a fisherman to sell the fish for emeralds,with that pufferfish become immensely more valuable

That's true for Java as well. Alternatively you can buy saddles from a max level leather worker villager, and if they've been cured it's 1 emerald per saddle!

Awsome video, I have been watching you since I started to play minecraft your survival guides helped so much, yur the coolest man alive. I feel like fishing in minecraft for me has been either fish, or tripwire hooks/bowls, or enchanted bows. I just got one with good durabillity and with power III and unbreaking III which is crazy.

I love fishing. But nobody I play with every use it. I think it's because it's tedious and nobody wants to sit there forever fishing, especially first starting out it's pretty slow but after you've you've fished up several enchanted rods and put them all together you're set. Get your self a grand stone and a fisherman villager and you're set for a decent xp and emerald farm. Also you can get other rare enchantments such as frost walker that you can't get from the enchanting table as well as fishing up enchanted bows to put together to get a decked out bow with either mending or infinity, whatever you prefer. Fishing is OP and I'll always advocate for it.

Fishing is the most OP activity in the game. Insane loot, every enchantment, crazy exp, infinite food source. Easy to craft unbreakable fishing rod with lure iii and luck of the sea iii and mending within an hour or two of fishing, and then the exp is just constant, fish bite every 5 secs on avg for me, it's like an easy 30+ exp per minute by pressing a single key/button while doing other stuff like watching movies. Nothing else in the game compares. I fished for a couple hours, got dozens of books, dozens of enchanted bows, dozens of exp levels, and more saddles than i know what to do with. Kinda weird considering chest loot in general sucks and takes forever to find. I fell asleep fishing last night and was eaten by a drowned so I made a 5x2x5 underground fishing pond with the center block access to the sky, i can fish all day all night no prob. I just go by sound cues atp, don't even need to watch the screen to fish.

I ended up using a villager to get unlimited mending enchants, but I still need to trade for 30 emeralds each time i want another one. fishing is free. i recommend fishing for a few hours and then only using librarians if you need something specific you didn't get while fishing.

i'll be honest, i was looking for some of the nicher things i got a little messed up in a world cuz i spawned in bamboo jungle, couldn't catch a puffer for water breathing, turns out those and tropical fish specifically do not spawn in jungle bioms. maybe this is the one, very specific thing that i happened to miss that also wasn't covered in video but i think it's worth mentioning as that fact is what got me to try and look out this one. like your other stuff. coming back to game after 2 years ya gata get guides on the stuff ya missed and other vids were helpful so not all negatives

Hey @Eyecraftmf, im curious if its more efficient to fish for a good bow or enchant a bunch to create one. I have an enderman xp farm like hermitcrafts by my enchanting table. obviously different farms get different rates, im curious if fishing for good bows to fuse together into a great bow is more efficient than trying to enchant one, or the other way around. i assume with a good xp farm its faster to enchant, but im not positive about that. It could be interesting to do a video about which one is faster depending on what kind of xp farms players have built

Fishing is by far the best thing to do early minecraft. Getting perfect tools and weapons needs levels, getting armor needs even more. Fishing for 6 hours, typically gets you both enough levels to max out a bow with punch 2 power 5 mending or infinity, but also tons of enchanted books to use on your other gear as applicable. You’ll eventually get that perfect bow and perfect fishing rod just from fishing, and that provides excellent ranged combat to make up for your general lack of armor starting off. Really just need to get an anvil, a fishing rod, and a fortune II or III enchant, and you’ll be solid for setting up on your own.

Not sure if this is a bedrock specific thing, but the depth of water doesn’t matter. As long as fish of some kind can spawn, you can get any categories of item. Have received treasures in a 1 deep lush cave pond.

Pretty sure you are right, I am getting all kinds of treasure in my semi-automatic fishing machine that has only 2 blocks of water horizontally.

So I got a base in a lifesteal smp right and I am right next to a lukewarm ocean will that work if I make a fish farm to get the treasure under the ocean?

Ngl it’s kinda ridiculous how quickly one can get a fully-enchanted fishing rod just from fishing up treasure catches. I think I had mine before I even got diamond armor!

took me like an hour and only cost 11 levels to combine the three rods than gave the ultimate rod (lure iii, luck iii, unbreaking iii, mending i), and i got more than 11 levels in that hour, easily. a few hours later i have books with almost every enchantment in the game. compared to this, villagers are obsolete and inefficient.

Yes fishing is the way forward. I now have the ultimate rod with max unbreaking lure and luck of the sea with mending. I've almost got a whole box of books loads of XP and a whole set of armour and weapons:)

Hello, I have an issue with the 5x5x4 area of water : it does not even allow me to loot treasures (with Luck of the Sea III and Lure III). I tested it for at least 20 minutes and I only looted fishes. My biome is Sunflower Plains. I paid attention to fish at the center. I play in Java Edition. Why it doesnt work ?

You actually don't need Unbreaking on your fishing rod if you have Mending, as you said, it will repair itself as you fish, so having more durability means nothing at that point.

Hello Eyecraft, thank you for this video. I suggest, when you got mending you do not need unbreaking. Nevertheless I know you have a better chance to get unbreaking than mending on your rod. 😉

I need to sit down and design an 'under water' auto fisher. basically using, say, signs you have the water above you, not below. Then you can maybe have a way to activate as well as you can stand anywhere because the water is above you.

So what’s the bubbles that move around and then attack your bobber? I only catch a fish about 1 out of 10 times that the bobber dunks. But it only dunks when the bubbles attack it.

Fishing is great for repairing your mending equipment. You also get great books. Once you get max enchanted rod you can do it in no time. You will eventually get it for free as well from fishing.

Do ice blocks count as deep water as well? I live in middle of several icy biomes and I can create a fishing hole but I was wondering will I get all the loot on the loot-table or will ice blocks jam me up? You mention lily pads and kelp blocks are okay to fish near. I'm hoping ice blocks count as well and just wasn't mentioned?

Can't you get lillypads from wandering traders and saddles from leatherworker villagers? That makes them both renewable outside of fishing.

Hey Eyecraftmc, I just think I need to point out that the fish farm mentioned in this video was actually designed by Rays Works, Shulkercraft only made a tutorial based on it (you can see they've credited Rays' channel in the description of their video). Also, there were some controversies about content stealing in the tech/redstone community (you can look it up), which you don't want to involve, so make sure to credit properly. I personally wouldnt waste a mending book on a rod they are really rare . but finding a rod with mending on it is alot more common Took me like 4 days to find 1 book and ive probs found over 100 rods with mending (bedrock)
