still be careful, you can find bees in Taiga, but there are no trees with bee nest, so there are no plants a you have to bring some flowers, but you cant go to far because in Taiga bees will despawn, the best way is bring silk touch axe or pickaxe with fortune and beehive and grab beehive with 3 bees inside, go home and make that perfect bee farm like in this 10000 percent fantastic guide video :-)))

Bees will also spawn in Taiga biomes without nests, since bee nests only spawn on birch or oak trees. So, when one initially explores an adjacent Taiga biome, remember to bring bee hives to attract and shelter them. Without any nests or hives they will despawn.

Just built this today on Bedrock 1.19.2, and not sure if this is a bedrock thing or just in general, but to fix it, use flowering azalea leaves in place of the dirt blocks and remove the flower. I believe the flower ends up blocking the bees since it's surrounded on the sides and back. The bees will be able to pollinate the flowering azalea leaves and thus fill up the bee hive.

Yes. Having a flower right in front of the nest will prevent the bees from getting in and out of the nest in bedrock 1.19 and up. Remedy is to add another dirt block on front and placing the flower two blocks from the nest. Or better, replace the dirt block and glass blocks with azalea leaves.

For Bedrock, use hoppers instead of grass blocks for right in front of your hives/nests so they can collect the honey for the minecart with hopper and leave a 2x2 space in front of hives/nests for bees to get out. You block the bees in with flowers so they can't harvest pollen and there is no way for the minecart with hopper to pick up your honey otherwise. Doesn't make it perfect but it does make it functional. Edit: Add an extra row of hoppers so you have the 2 blocks in front of hives/nests as hoppers and the second row I just put chests down to collect the honey from hoppers. Sometimes it spits out too far to gather inside, I haven't done anything for the honey coming out the back yet.

Honeyblocks most useful application in my opinion would have to be flying machines, and a very close second (especially with the wild update) is an ender pearl stasis chamber. Just need a buddy or dummy account to afk near it, find an Ancient city, loot it real quick and have your buddy press a button to recall you from 3k+ blocks in an instant. Saves a lot on the ol’ elytra as well.

Bedrock - The bees can't exit the beenest when flower is placed. Lower the flower by one block AND make it 2 blocks wide flower patch. Bees won't get stuck at movement. Adapt the rail so the cart goes under both grass blocks with flowers in circles. If you put two hoppers under rails at the turn it will offload without issues.

Another thing about moving bee nests/hives: you can even move them during the day or when it's not raining. All you have to do is cover the front face of the nest/hive with a full block. The logic behind that is based on the fact that bees can enter a nest/hive through any of the 6 sides of it, but can only exit through the front face (the one side that is different from the rest of the sides). Blocking that face will allow the bees to go inside the nest/hive when they are done pollinating and want to return home, but prevents them from exiting, making it an easy way to grab a nest/hive full of bees.

I did this design but a few items of note, 1) The comparator next to the hopper isn't needed. I've found this to be true on every minecart farm system I've made. IDK if this is a 1.19 thing, or a general thing. But all of my farms - including all of my minecart farms for honey, melon, pumpkin, sugarcane - none need a comparator next to the hopper. 2) I get bottles popping out above the dispensers. I've tried putting slabs above the dispensers but they don't make a difference. If anyone has advice or experience with that, I'd appreciate it! As another note, I find myself often short on redstone with all of my massive farms, and my clerics are usually out of trades for it. Instead of using redstone blocks or torches for my power source for rails, I use levers. Make sure the lever is not in a block directly next to the hopper, just like the redstone torch or block, and you're great. It can be diagonal, but not in a "t" next to the hopper or the items won't leave the hopper. This won't always work (ex, if you need power in the middle of a rail system directly above another farm) but every bit of redstone dust I can save seems to go a long way.

I've found that using a silk touch axe (or silk touch anything really) to relocate the nest/hive works especially well if you have a campfire placed one block in the ground with the nest/hive on top. You can still harvest the wax/honey without any danger to your bees from the campfire.

This is exactly the minecraft content youtube should have! Some jokes, not too many. No clickbait, no screaming into the camera, and legit content!

I have watched many building/info vodeos and have always been confused. After watching this video I was able to follow it, learn, and even build the honey farm correctly!

1:45 a nest only got 3 bees. If all 3 sting you won't die but the hive is empty (since bees die after stinging and regular poison stops at 1 ❤️

Not sure if it’s a glitch or if it was something Mojang patched, but I tried the carpet trick over the campfire and the bees got angry when I harvested the honey with a bottle. I tried it again without the carpet and the bees didn’t get angry. Either way, I really appreciate the walkthrough because I had no idea how to do this before your video. Thanks for the work and detail you go into!

Excellent farm! I was a bit worried about the bottles escaping or being ejected too frequently, but it works great. I use a custom design for honeycomb, but this works perfect for honey. Liked and subbed ofc. Thanks!

Thanks for this. I've been streaming MC but have never really explored beekeeping since it was added. I was planning on trying a bit of it and wanted to know what it was all about so I didn't have to frantically Google things on stream. This was a really good video. Super informative and unlike a lot of other guides I've seen, assumed I knew nothing about beekeeping, which was the case (seriously I didn't even know you could subdue them with campfires!). One question I do have is if I make beehives, and put campfires directly below them (underground so they're hidden), is there any chance of a bee exiting the hive directly below? Or will it not try to occupy that space at all? This is assuming there's literally no block space between the campfire and the hive on top

They should add a movement mechanic with a honey “sticky” potion and it lets you walk on walls ceilings sideways and upside down. Could also add an enchantment for boots with a similar ability.
