This makes it the only block in the game that is both a light source and blast resistant. Regarding barrel vs chest: I still use chests, since they can be made to a double chest, allowing you to see twice the amount of storage at once. I don't care about the advanges, the barrel has: being able to open with a block above, saving a little materials and being easier to render for the client, meaning more FPS, if you have a lot of them nearby.

    Um, yeah… The double chest saves nothing on space because two barrels side-by-side would also have double the storage space. Plus double chest do require open space above them to actually open. So in those four blocks of space that the double chest requires, you could have four barrels in a 2x2 formation to have quadruple storage. The only real major disadvantage of barrels is they count as job blocks, so villagers will constantly crowd around them. 😑 Personally, wood is never an issue for me, so saving a couple planks is nothing.

    Branch mining with two blocks in between will allow you to catch every single ore but it is not optimal. A space of three blocks in between allows you to cover far more space with less mining and because of the way that ore generation works your output of mine or per block broken will be higher. The likelihood of ore generating within the two blocks that you cannot see is extremely low compared to all the other blocks that you would be able to check. Many of those or blocks will be part of a horizontal ore generation that will be discovered. Man the technical Minecraft community is truly insane

    One thing I will say is the torches for strip mining can be 25 blocks apart. This will give you 2 blocks of light level 1 in between torches.

  • @mynameisworld

    @mynameisworld

    7 ай бұрын

    You don't need torches for a strip mine. Strip mining is the removal of all ground above the coal to expose the coal to open air so miners stay on the surface. Unless you're doing it in the night, you'll have the sun for light. If you do a mining process that is called tunnel mining, then you'll need light since that's underground. There are no tunnels in strip mining. There is no going underground in strip mining. Yes, I understand that this generation of children who play Minecraft WANT it to be called "strip mining" because they want to giggle at the adult word "strip". But it is not accurate. What you're doing is NOT strip mining. It is tunnel mining.

    6:41 Thank you, thank you THANK YOU so much for that tip about the villager changing trade items. A villager I was trading in wheat was zombified, (I don't know why, I should have placed more lights in the village, probably I thought the iron golem was enough protection and it gave me a false sense of security) and when I arrived, the villager got burned down by the sunlight. I was shocked to see a zombie in the middle of the village, and before I realized I need to cover this villager up so I could attempt to dezombify it one day, it got turned to ashes.

    Barrels are straight up OP in Bedrock! Since you make them with sticks instead of planks they're effectively twice as efficient as chests. With 6 logs you can make 6 barrels but only 3 chests. There's a data pack that lets you use that recipe in Java and I almost always use it since farming wood in the early game is a pain.

    So I recently got my hands on a wither Rose actually 3 cuz I got the warden to go against the wither twice. I simulated The Battle before I did it in survival and the wither always beat him. It was like one instance where the warden did beat him but he still died because the wither exploded and he heard the explosion. Anyway I use glow item frame to put that wither Rose in. So that's displayed but I also did the trick that you said about decorated pots and plant pots let's just say now there are two wither roses going to be greeting people as they enter my castle. It really fits the vibe of my castle as well it's a blackstone castle It look like a very strong fortress with a long hallway and like one underground enchantment room which was a dungeon by the way.

    Yes, but the fish farm does not drop treasure items (Enchanted Books, Bows, Fishing Rods, etc) because the body of water is too small. You'll still get fish and junk from it, but the farm itself isn't nearly as attractive by the time you get a better food source
