♥ My country, Malaysia is currently the FATTEST country in South East Asia. It's sad! Most of us aren’t aware of how bad a food can be for us because we are used to eating this way. Or perhaps we just don't care!
♥ Let’s stop this OBESITY epidemic worldwide and look at how we can make healthier food choices and still enjoy our local dishes when eating out.

6) Fried Popiah vs Seaweed Popiah
7) Pasembur vs Fruit Salad
8) Briyani Rice vs White Rice
9) Mixed Rice + Side Dishes
10) Banana Fritters vs Banana
11) Curry Puff vs Sweet Potato
12) Teh Tarik vs Teh O
13) White Coffee vs Coffee O
All these food swaps may seem difficult to begin with. But as we become more conscious of our eating habits and practice making better choices, you’ll start to notice the different on your body, your energy level and you will be saving yourself from all the diseases.
We are what we eat. We CAN make a difference today and that starts with each and every one of us. How are you making better food choices today? Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you so much for making this video. I've been wanting for this particular video for a long time!!! Baru tahu rupa-rupanya banyak jugak makanan Malaysia yang sihat. Orang selalu cakap kalau nak jadi sihat selalu kena makan cara Barat macam oatmeal, salad lah, juicing lah, u know Western-style food which are good and healthy btw. But as a Malaysian, some of these food can be very expensive and inaccessible. Thanks again for the video and Selamat Hari Merdeka 💕😊

I've been doing proper diet and workout for 2 years up till now and im getting a pretty satisfying result sofar. Transitioning my eating habits and lifestyle from what we usually assume as a normal habit is never been easy. The reason why i choose to transform myself is purely due to health concerns. The journey of loosing 31kg within 2 years was never been easy but i definitely enjoying the process and new knowledge that i've gain so far. It makes feels really great and i think many people out there should feel the same. I really agree that our nations need to be educated on what really contains in our foods and how we should be in an active lifestyle. This vid definitely will helps diet beginners to get the picture on how problematic their eating habbit is. Thank you joanna for the cool vid! 😘

I didnt care because I never knew. Personally I think we need to incorporate nutrition in our education system so we can learn from young. Talking bout education system, just a thought on what I ate in schools back then makes me feel sick. All this gorengs, mee this mee that, highly processed food, aduhmak. + all the mini stalls outside selling junk foods, cendol, etc. I remember eating them on daily basis and totally explains my weight problem at young age. Now I know, and I'm up for changes for a better me and my next generation 🙌💃

I already applied healthy eating for more than 6 months. No rice, no bread, basically carbs. Actually it's not by choice but unfortunately I have pcos so my diet is diabetic-friendly. It's good though cause I'm getting used to it and I have no problem to it except that my colleagues or the waiter always look at me weirdly when I tell them I want curry noodle without the fishballs and noodles! I guess Malaysians are not used to seeing anyone eating this way. My bowl is always full of vegetables the size of a mountain and I love vegetables too! Lol on the plus side, I can still enjoy everything without raising my blood sugar and my cholesterol is also in check. I do give myself a treat once in a while, like having Coffee Bean ice blended, small size, no whipped cream and less sweet! Or perhaps one slice of Mcdonald's red velvet cake shared with 4 of my friends! I don't believe in complete abstinence. Juat enjoy life a bit but know your limits!

I was healthier back then, now ever since the pandemic hit us, I'm back to square one and has been sick a lot lately. I hope with all these videos can help me to lose weight and live healthily once again. I'm not ready to lose my life, my dreams. BEING OBESE IS NOT OKAY!
