Corn-based moonshine makes THE BEST mixed drinks, IMO. It's midnight moon, for me. Try 1 oz cherry with one can of Pepsi (coke is too sweet) yes that ratio does matter. Or apple pie with apple juice...actually that one is pretty dangerous so be careful! 😂

Kahlua Bambu/frangelico (they can be interchanged) Bailey's Irish cream Crime de'cacao (think I misspelled it) Any cheap vodka (vodka is vodka) Moderate priced whiskey My liquor cabinet.

Bumbu is absolutely fantastic

Leaving that aside, Grey Goose is legit one of the best Vodkas you can buy, I don't like Vodka but thats my millionaire friend Vodka of choice, we are talking about a guy who is accostumed to have live in maids at service 24/7, if he needs water at 3 AM he won't get up, just like on movies, he has a motherfucking bell on his night stand 😂

Some people have coffee bars and don’t regularly drink coffee, some people have regular ones, and some people have china glassware just sitting around in the living room. It’s a setup to look nice and at least with the bar ones you get some use out of them.

@@bezimen1 Haven't tasted the whiskey you mention but everywhere online mentions it as having tasting notes of peat and smoke. Some Scotch whiskeys, like the one you bought utilize peat moss in its production which gives it this really earthy, dirt-like taste which is probably why it tasted like a "dusty whicker basket". I've seen reviews of peated scotches that describe them as flavours like shoe leather, chimney smoke, wood, asphalt, gasoline and even wet band aid. If you're interested in whiskey but don't like the taste of peat, try a sweeter Scotch like those typically from the Highlands and Speyside regions. Alternatively, Irish whiskey and bourbon will generally have a lot more palatable flavours to new whiskey drinkers.

@@gabeorion I respect that you have an opinion, but I respectfully must disagree. The trouble with spiced rums is that they’re sold as “rum” so people think they can make a daiquiri or a mai tai with it. In reality, you’re gonna really struggle to make any kind of balanced cocktail with a spiced rum because of it’s crazy high sugar content (basically a syrup) and its added flavors (like cinnamon, vanilla, cherry, etc.). In reality, it’s better suited for shots or as a supporting ingredient in a cocktail, not as the base spirit. Think about it closer to Cointreau, amaretto, Campari, or other liqueurs. If you make a cocktail using it as the base spirit, it’s gonna be super sweet, and you’ll have trouble getting the other ingredients to balance. Sorry for the ramble, I’ll keep this part short. Real rums to try in cocktails: Plantation 3 star/original dark, Probitas, Mount Gay, Appleton Estate. Just keep in mind, as you delve into Caribbean rums, you’re going to get into the more iconic flavors (“hogo”).

Holy shit, why don’t you just say you’ve never had actual rum 😂 Name a spiced rum you like and I’ll tell you how much sugar they’ve added. Chances are, unless you’re deep in the rum world, buying spiced rums from very specific distilleries, you’re not buying the non-dosed rums. Anything you get from your grocery store or typical liquor store will have a ton of sugar/added flavors. And yes, some “non spiced” rums will have sugar added as well, and those are typically regarded as lesser products. Plantation falls into that group, but at $20 a bottle, it’s still very much worth the price. A very solid rum for the price, even considering the added sugar. An actual quality rum shouldn’t have any sugar added to the final product. It’s made from some form of sugar cane, so it should have a natural sweetness if it’s made right.

If Bumbu is your top shelf rum, I'm walking out. Most of my bottles are under $100, most are between the 25 to 50 dollar range. The one spirit I don't mix with often is vodka, I like flavor so I primarily make rum/tequila/brandy/gin/whiskey cocktails. Mid tier prices are probably the best to fill your home well with.

Find stores that do regular deals on top shelf flower. For example, a store by me sells a certain brand of eighths on Saturdays for 30$ opposed to 60$ every other day of the week. 3 eighths for like 105$ after tax of literally some of the best flower I can find. I’m in Southern California btw

At least there's a stronger correlation between the product and the price when it comes to weed. More often than not, a higher priced weed has higher concentrations of THC and other cannabinoids. And while many expensive liquor bottles can be worth the money, a lot of it is more from marketing and artificial scarcity than the actual quality of the product.

I know for a fact, grey goose is never the top tier top shelf choice for vodka to most people, but man its delicious. Its literally the only vodka ive ever had that i could drink by itself on the rocks and actually enjoy it without gagging.

@plokzi no I'm just laughing that he pulled out a 35 dollar bottle and called it high end its sad that buffalo trace products including blantons eagle rare and more are 35 to 50 dollar bottles and they're gouged for 120 or more
