Yes please to the tongue exercises, it is greatly needed. I'm an English convert and after much practice I am able to produce all letters in Arabic apart from the raa. I can trill it uncontrollably but can not say a single one on its own.

JazakAllahu khairan for the time, effort, and passion to create all these beneficial videos. SubhanAllah, I'm struggling to pronounce the letter Raw, especially the tafkheem. I can't seem to raise the back of my tongue while focusing on the tip to touch the alveolar ridge. I have a lisp in my Ra when I try to trill it more than once, but I feel like I can produce a single regular ra correctly without Shaddah. When it comes to shaddah however, my Ra just turns into a weird mix between a /z/ and /ʒ/ sound. Thank you for your help and all of your videos, they are truly fascinating!

Yes, 'slight' .. I chose the word مستقر to demonstrate how that would sound like. It's best if you recite to a teacher, or just simply record your voice, and send it to me. Barak Allahu feekum

I explain the difference in my video 'how to trill your R' - remember in the Quran you are not supposed to repeatedly trill your R, only in regular Arabic.
