very good and informative video! can you speed up the weathering and drying process by baking the twigs? i have a freshly clipped apple tree twigs but they are still a bit green any way to make them dry out faster? thx

Please use the tree branches / woods mentioned in the video, I can't say for sure about any other wood because I didn't use them.

Yes, you can always do some experiments, but if it is poisonous the fish may die. So be careful.

Kaushik - the liquid carbon that you are applying on the driftwood - is that available for retail purchase in chemist/pharmacy stores? I saw in some other videos option of soaking wood in Hydrogen peroxide Your views pls Thx

You can get it from any aquarium store or pet market. It’s also available online, the link is in the video description. You can also use 3% H2O2, but then you need to rinse the wood thoroughly with water before using it in the aquarium.

No, if you plan to use it in an aquarium, you should completely avoid treating the wood with paint or any other chemicals. The problem is that the coating will release chemicals into the tank and be potentially toxic and even fatal to fish and other aquatic life.
