great content, Tommie. I'm in the transition stage from knee steering to carving. I'd love for you to do a nerdy techie video on fore-aft leg pressure for those of us in this stage.

Hi Tommie, I am learning on my own (am really nerdy) and kinda pick up things with intuition and your video made me pick up the small mechanics that I was missing. The way u teach this wide audience is great, as you do explain it in the most simple way for a beginners without actual dept in mechanics. Thank you u rock!

Mate I just want to say how much I'm loving your videos! I'm getting into snowboarding for the first time this year and I'm swatting up on my theory before I get lessons. And your videos come out on top every time!! You have a wicked energy, but you already know that!! Much love man from the UK. Maybe see you on the slopes one day!

Man this is what I really needed this past weekend. I was able to transition just like you said on the first method and is great on wider open areas, but when I got into the trees and moguls, I wasn't able to transition as fast and ultimately couldn't do it without falling or stopping. The second method is what I really needed to learn and will be doing that next time around! Thanks!

you are an awesome teacher I can't wait to apply what I just learned, I have a hard time going from heal edge to toe edge and it drives me nuts, but the turning of the knee and the body position, I think it will really help me. Thank you for you tips, it is much appreciated.

How are you doing these really short turns without catching an edge??? Are you still letting your board go flat for a split second when changing edges or is it just hard to catch an edge if you’re at high speed with your board basically always going down the fall line?

  • @harrycollins6316

Yes sir. I know I'm not Tommie but I love helping people learn!! He does them fast but you go flat first at least I do and as you get better at where your weight is distributed it almost isn't noticable that you go flat before getting onto your other edge

How do you have your bindings set up? I used to have the same issue because my bindings were both close to 15 degrees toward the direction I was riding. Made heel to toe super snappy but the latter very sluggish

i'm trying to do the same. it's tough riding for years and your regular riding is so far advanced that you don't even really think about what you are doing and trying to apply it to switch. my switch riding was about 10 yards max for either hitting or landing jumps or as an escape. linking turns switch was always an adventure. tommie does an awesome job breaking it down, i couldn't do it without him.

How are you not catching an edge going into a heel to toe while still in the same direction? Like you were pointing 10 o clock, you went small to tall from heel, then went tall to small to toe while still pointing at 10 o clock.
