Little anecdote to the PRX in gold. Last year there was an article in CQ that Klay Thompson wore a Vacheron Constantin 222 Historique (100’000 $) for a Matchup game and the choice was considered excellent taste on Klay’s part. It turns out he actually wore a quartz PRX.

For those commenting on how the watch looks tacky or how fake this PVD gold color looks - we’re talking entry level Swiss watches here. This watch is an extreme budget friendly 222 - meant to capture the aesthetic/ vibe and less to impress the high snobby society. Cheers

My only Quartz watch and it honestly gets more compliments than my other pieces
I love the PRX family, a classic yet modern blend of style. Tissot from my experience offer a lot of quality and value for the money and are supported by the vast Swatch group. The PRX moves it up a level though for finish.
Tissot continues to impress. There seems to be much to savor in their broad catalog. Thank you, Teddy.
I am a woman with a 5.3 inches wrist and I own the 35mm in silver/white and the gold pvd. They both are beautiful on the wrist. It’s truly unisex. The gold version goes really well with ethnic wears as well and goes with my Cartier love bracelet and juste un clou beautifully. If anyone is in the market to gift their female significant other a watch, please do consider these watches.

Im a male with 6.5 in wrists but I'd prefer the 35mm still. I love the smaller watches, tbh I don't like gendered sizes and in my eyes, brands are shooting themselves on the foot by calling certain sizes "women" or "men" specific

At first, I didn’t like the PRX watches. A sales lady pointed me to the gold and said I had to try it on. I did and it looks great on the wrist. The gold coating doesn’t look cheap at all. It actually looks really nice with that brushed gold look. Bought the 35 mm and love it.

Thanks for covering this watch! Is there another gold watch from a similarly situated brand that you’d recommend? This watch looks amazing, but I already have the Tissot Gentleman, which I absolutely love, and I’m looking to diversify brands.

Grabbed one of the 35s cheap secondhand, waiting on it to be delivered. I have the 40 powermatic version in blue and love it, even if it's a little big for me, it'll be nice to have the 35mm as an easy alternative in the collection. And as a cheap secondhand I won't feel too bad about sending it on if an all gold tone powermatic 35mm is ever released

Will wait for the powermatic version to gift my dad. He loves gold watches!
They should make one rose gold pvd with brown or blue dial. They would look awesome.
I already bought this PRX gold quartz watch. The PRX wafer dial gold also looks stunning. I hope Tissot can bring the wafer dial to the PRX quartz watch as well. I have many quartz watches, so I can wear different quartz watches every week.
Is there some information that the PRX will come out as a chronograph in the gold PVD? Gorgeous watch, thinking about getting the 35mm version.
This does seem good value 👍
Got this now … really nice
Surprisingly, I like the 35mm better. For whatever reason, I always find myself leaning towards vintage stylings.
Just hope they make a new line of prx with 38mm case, automatic with a matte yellow dial with black hands and writing….also red dial is welcomed, the 40mm case would work as well
I’ve got the quartz steel, perfect Watch
Hey Teddy could you do a video advising if gold plated watches would be worth it? You know due to the eventual fade?
I don't think gold watches are necessarily for "flexing". People who know watches will know that this isn't an expensive watch and people who aren't into watches don't necessarily notice watches. I think gold watches just work better in sunny weather. I have a $40 gold Casio that I like simply because it's a "light" watch and goes well with a t-shirt and shorts.
dear Teddy , can I save some battery by popping up the crown to stop moving the quartz watch when I will not use that watch for long period ? thank you
Damn. It looks amazing
🦉Always like the Baldassare Videos !!
Hello, the 40mm seems better than 35 on your wrist, IMO! but the 40mm automatics do not stand as well as quarts on 6.5-inch wrists! Is it because of the thickness of the case? Thanks
Would it be possible to repair scratches and damage? Is that a thing? Like, maintenance or something?
My wife is gonna love it when I buy this and also the blue dial version in the same size...plus I can wear them too on my seven-inch wrist.
Whats up with the discoloration on the case, outside the bezel? I have the very same issue. Freeze at 0:40 and you'll see it.
tried on the 35mm PRX, 6.5inch wrist and fits absolutely perfect, but I’m holding out for the automatic version in 2023

As someone who said he wouldn’t dip under 38mm…. The 35mm looks pretty healthy 🧐. SN the PVD coating on my Longines Hydroquest has held up tremendously over the past 18 months. I’m saving for the brown dial with the actual 18k rose gold fluted bezel for 23 hopefully! I’m not really feeling doing any faux or even plated gold anymore 🤷🏽♂️ ijs

Will the gold pvd show steel at easy scratches?
What’s the difference between this model from Tissot an the powermatic 80 model ??
Does anyone know if Tissot, or any aftermarket, makes compatible quick release leather straps for this gold finish, vs the regular steel finish?
I wish there was an automatic I'm curious about that 80 hour reserve
how is the pvd coating durability guys?
This isn’t a Tissot, it’s the 222 disguised as a Tissot. Thank you Teddy

I need this with a black dial and gold hands.
I wonder if they will make a 35mm gold with the automatic movement?
So which size do I go with?
Needs an automatic movement and a cyclops.
Looking forward to 35mm powermatic 80 version. But Tissot, pls don't use the silicone spring. Make something that every watchmaker can service.
The gold is very nice but not my style. I'm enjoying my steel 35mm version with the ice-blue dial, though.
Waiting for 35mm Powermatic
One tiny mistake: the case back is not screwed but pressed on
Quartz watches are so convenient they get such a bad rep. But these Quartz watches just need a battery replacement and are more accurate than the most advanced mechanical or automatic watch. PRX is one of the best bang for buck watches in the industry.

Pretty sure that's a snap on case back and not a screwed down one. Not good for those of us who like to change our on batteries.
#1k👍🤔This watch reminds me of a Longines I purchased in the mid 70s. Similar bracelet design but about twice as thick as the Longines. Much worse accuracy!! But $700 in 70 money is a hard value to match in 1021 for under $2,000+. I still have that watch on a crocodile strap because the bracelet wore out after 30 years. My two favorite watches are a ceramic quartz and a COSC Invicta Pro diver. Spending over $10k for any watch even solid gold 18k is just 🌰s!!💖🤷

@@pename3342 if you have to adjust it every morning then your watch is not working properly.. most watches have at least an 40 hour movement so you should be ok for at least 1 day and a night not wearing it. And why I like automatics? Because imo a sweeping hand looks better, never have to change batteries and it's just a personal taste.
@HPY07

@@pename3342 idk how much power reserve your watch have but have never seen a watch with less than 24 hour power reserve. If your watch power reserve is more than 24 hours and you really wear it daily then i dont think this problem should occur. Automatic watches or in fact all watches are made to wear and not to store. If you have more than 1-2 watches to rotate then that's a different thing. Other thing could be that you are not used to wearing a watch in daily routine or don't like to wear it daily. Try to make a habit of wearing watches daily and use it if you bought it. You wouldn't want it to be new for eternity but then that design or technology would have become outdated or obsolete by that time.
@HPY07

@@pacisking yeah quartz have its own advantages and both have some pros and cons. I like quartz because i don't need to fix time everytime i pick it up but also don't like the hassle of changing batteries every 5 years. Automatic watches gives a different feeling when the second hand swipes instead of jumping and if you can see the movement through open caseback then you can really see and admire the beauty of the mechanisms. But in Automatic watches you'll have to take more care of it and needs a service after a while which also adds ups more cost of owning it when it's already expensive than it's quarts counterparts.
