Thanks for the laughs. I almost wet myself with "Lift with the taint" line.
Personally, not a huge fan of the Banter family. BUT I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Though I’m a knife nut, your shop vac video is probably in my top two favorite videos of all time. The lawnmower video was very entertaining. Even watching your wife passively argue the obsolescence of the knife hobby while you drank wine and died inside was great. I’ll always be a fan, knife or no knife. You are the quality in your content 👍🏻

ha which one is the one where he dies inside id be a patreon member just for that ! serious which link
All home owners can relate when Pete says "don't break the oven door", while trying to stay in character, and actually worrying about breaking the oven door lol.
Thank you Uncle Randy, for showing us that the Buck 110 is truly the king of knives.
Glad to see Uncle Randy is doing well 👍
Great seeing you Pete, Uncle Randy and Bricky.
An Uncle Randy Episode, what a joy!
It's always good to see you Pete.
Oh gotta say even though you have lost enthusiasm for it, I like your twisted sisal edge testing best. There are several other knife tubers that I respect that also do edge retention tests, typically on cardboard. The rope cutting is more relatable data, at least for me. Thanks Pete !

Rope cutting is great and all, but you have to take into account the thickness behind the edge as well as edge angle to compare among the different models/steels. Cardboard cut testing generally just needs to know the edge angle for the most part. So Pete's data is great, you have to factor in the thickness behind the edge which is not always listed in order to compare the results. Cardboard cut testing is testing the heat treat while the rope cut testing is comparable to rope cutting, when factoring in the thickness bte (I don't think Pete has included bte data, and bte can vary in the same model knife to knife due to manufacturing variances too). So for me I prefer the cardboard cut testing to show me which brands are doing it better heat treat wise vs other brands... But I am really glad we have the rope cut data points regardless. Peter is an asset regardless how you look at it and a great laugh as well as making great content regardless of what it is. He knows how to edit video well and provides great music to go along with the content.
Having now put 175 hours into P5 Royal I can appreciate Pete's videos even more.
I'm American. Being American I really enjoy the Buck 110 / Uncle Randy content. I enjoy Bricky as well. He makes a nice nemesis. Thank you.
It's great to have you back Pete. 😁👍
I pissed myself when unk lifted with the taint. I'm 50. Cheers, good to see ya Pete.

Good to see you being your old self, having fun, just remember you are going to look like Uncle Randy so enough. 😂😅
Thanks for the laughs. I broke when Uncle Randy randomly said, "strength and courage."
Enjoyed your video. I’ve got the tool burrito and some banters and landers. The Lander is my favorite carry this year. It feels great in the hand. Love the open source scales and the fact Knafs encourages you to take apart and maintain your knives.
Good to see Uncle Randy made it through the pandemic
Great to see y’all again! Pete, Brickyard, Uncle Randy ! Always a pleasure! Don’t let things get you down! There are always positives to consider. Thx
Just good to see you producing videos again. , I've always appreciated your testing, real world stuff. Thanks
Nice to see you again Pete - thanks for the video! (Oh, thanks Uncle Randy too for that illuminating test 😅)
After knife testing Uncle Randy will be testing that septic system after that dense holiday cake !
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy this video. Thanks man, you made Friday evening even better!
You really need some Uncle Randy merchandise with the words "dense and mysterious object"
This is the content the knife community needs but doesn't deserve.
Great to see the Uncle Randy and Brickie show back on! Oh yeah, there was Pete as well.
Thanks for your content man. Especially the sharpening system stuff, the reviews and just overall explanation and demonstration of them was incredibly helpful. So I for one definitely appreciate ya. :)
Nice to see you again Pete - thanks for the video!
As a septic contractor this video got a quick thumbs up.
As usual, the highest level of content and insight into the human condition. Keep it coming. There are likely few things one cuts with a pocket knife that could be more abrasive than your chosen sisal. Even the performance of the losing blade (200 cuts) is impressive in the context of the tasks these knives are most likely to encounter. My knives are usually called upon to cut string, open a box or cut some food item I want to steal a taste of. My current carry is 154CPM, cost about $85 (American!😄) and seems pretty invincible. It is a button lock which is the only type of folder I will ever buy after 65 years of EDC. Easy, quick, silent, open or close. Perfect.
Hey Pete good to see ya. Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to make some content. I got absolutely no interest in "knafs" but l always enjoy your take on the edc & knife hobby. Thanks man. Cheers from America.
Great to see you Pete ! As always !
Ben does awesome with all his products. They are all very useful
Uncle Randy embodies the typical Murican knife guy, well done
Bricky is definitely in my top 5 cryptids
Good to see you back Pete.
Loved seeing you get back to your roots. I like your other material as well. You helped me get into sharpening which really helped me get back into knives. Went from 7 pocket knives to over 35. Hell, I even have a twisted sisal shirt. Don't mess up your shoulder or anything but try a worksharp and a free hand edge on the trio as well if you like. Hope to see you at 65k subs by the end of the year. Uncle Randy is kind of a piece of crap but he's funny as hell. Throw another gaming video out there every now and then too. Some of us love that shit.
Thanks for entertaining us, that was great! Be well
😄 🤣 "Come on Randy! Lift with the taint, lift with the taint!" Hilarious to see the convo with Uncle Randy!
Watching your videos cut test seem to line up with material testing from knife nerd and others. Really enjoy them Just got some maxamet coming, usually reference your videos when I'm looking for a new knife. Thanks for the videos!
Uncle Randy ,Buck , peak content . I'm still waiting for the day Uncle Randy reviews some modern knives ,I know he doesn't need one Buck is life after all ,but his sage wisdom on cutlery and why we don't need them would be gold.
Good to see you at it again!
can’t wait for my baby banter!
24:44 The Lander seems like a really good size for an EDC. Besides your videos Ben and Zac are making some of the best knife content out there. Love Uncle Randy. Glad to see him back. Prost!
Good to see you back.
The pouch seems like a fancy roadside repair kit that goes in the trunk of a fancy car. Always lift with the taint.
I miss your content when you take a break. Fun stuff!
Love the baby banter just got the red g10. And I love the persona music in the video 🔥
Some reason I could only watch this in 360p, it really added to the uncle Randy bits
Love the Banter, looking forward to the Big Banter 👍
Lift with the taint got me!😂
“Lift with the taint” new channel motto?
Great to see you!!!
I really enjoy Ben’s designs. There is some practicality mixed with whimsy. Most of us just use knives to cut Amazon packages and pizza boxes. Love the channel, Pete! Find your passion.
Love Uncle Randy (in the sense he’d approve of, obviously) & will obviously be switching to his test medium as soon as you can steal the recipe away. 😄 Fun video, Pete thanks. It’s pretty obvious creativity like this helps you create & I hope you know your audience appreciates it. PS: Bricky owes me money, those breeze blocks don’t work for free you know?
Want to use a knife for 'dirty' work? Experience has taught me to use a stainless blade with G10 or FRN handles. To clean/disinfect, fully immerse in a jar of pure isopropyl alcohol and leave for a while to disinfect. Alcohol won't affect the blade, G10/GRN or washers/bearings. When done give a light scrub with an old toothbrush, remove and wipe down with a cloth. I then allow any residue alcohol to evaporate. If the knife's in a real mess, disassemble first. As for the Knafs Lander - love the fact it encourages modding!! Thanks for the vid. Sharp blades all.
Thank you for a greatly entertaining knife review. 😊 The three of you really work together well. If Ben were to make a gifty special offer knife burrito, packed like yours, with a lander, a couple of colorful scale options, tools and a sharpener; well, then I’d know what to wish me for christmas. 👍 PS. And an EU addressed store for knafs. The parcel carriers have really become sticklers for enforcing the eu rules for private import, VAT and import tax and such.
Just gotten a baby with nitrov and this video was quite informative and entertaining. Thank you! Next gonna be a buck for sure 😅
I’ve never wanted a Buck 110 more in my life!
Agree with your assessment that the industry/community has turned into “angertainment”

“My profile picture is a truck” lmao 😂
Hey Pete, looking good mate! I see you got rid of some fluff and your forearms are looking HUGE! Great job!
Thank you fun as always
Looking forward to hearing more about the Lander. If I knew how to 3D-print, I would make glow in the dark scales resembling the moon surface. Or purple Bricky themed scales. I'll wait and keep an eye on this knife.

If youre interested, 3D printed scales are starting to pop up on Etsy, and Knafs recently came out with G10 scales with moon images printed on them. It's probably not exactly what you're looking for, but it might be a starting point.
Man, missed you, please consider making more videos. Farming, organizing, tractor, crazy Lynchian cat stuff and jrpg videos will be appreciated too :)
Need the fruit cake recipe so I can test out my Buck 119.
Please keep making content.... If I lost you and DBK there wouldn't be much funny in my days 😔
Not going to lie,... i would watch for the septic tank. Love your videos, Pete!
I’ve run into Ben at Costco and back when BladeHQ had the Utah showroom. He really is a friendly, approachable guy. I’d love to have one of his knives NOT made in China, but being that he’s really getting something going, I’d overlook it for now. I only have a Baby Banter at this time.
GD it, Pete. Love the videos. Keep em coming. Also, what degree did you sharpen the Peterson knives?
Right on! Fantastic to see uncle Randy again. The moment you sat down in front of that fruit cake & couldn't even scratch it with the Banter, I was hoping uncle Randy would pull out his trusty Buck 110 at the end & slice through it like butter. You didn't let me down. One nit picky criticism though, I doubt uncle Randy wouldn't have the dexterity & experience with one handed operation & flicking open those folders like he did. He would have used two hands to open all those one handed knives. Nice work. Fun video. Cheers from Canada.
Last time I lifted with the 'taint, I had bloody stools for weeks.
Fun video! Very interesting. .D 2 is hard to Beat.

China D2 is horrible. The numbers you hear are from geometry. If they actually heat treated it well it would have done better.
Civivi needs to heat treat that Nitro V a bit better. It should be around a good or better 14C28N range. On the bright side it seems like KNAF did the D2 pretty well.
@tacticalcenter8658
Жыл бұрын
Did you factor in behind the edge thickness to compare against the others? The thinner knives will cut more despite a poor heat treat. I doubt we knives heat treat d2 that good, but they do really thin behind the edge blades. For example Compare pete's USA d2 vs this china d2 and take into account the edge angles and thickness behind the edge.
Thanx!🥰
Hi! I would like to introduce myself. I'm the guy that likes finger choils. I also enjoy fruit cake and candy corns. I'm the guy that picks through a bowl of gumdrops candy to pick out the black ones to eat only.
I live in the Pacific Northwest... It's way too wet here to EDC a steel like d2 or k390 without extra care. Wish lander had a 14c28n option
22:34 *DISRESPECT YOUR SURROUNDINGS* cue breakdown and Uncle Randy hardcore dancing with a 119 in each hand.
Lift with the taint! Words to live by.

Not to be confused with lifting _by_ the taint. In my defense though, two holes shouldn't be that close together if they're not intended to be used like a bowling ball...
Didn't know you had an American in the family 🤔. But do love your Aussie style 😉. Was thinking the knife roll with tool kit was a great Christmas gift. But no one buys present for me . Feel a bit like uncle Randall I do
LOL Uncle Randy sounds like Hank Hill 😂
G'day Pete, perhaps drawing a long bow, but reminded me of another Peter, ........ of the Sellers variety, lol. Btw; Nnaf, (naff), is a strange choice for a brand name, where as 'Buck"............no contest. As Uncle Randy might say, I know which hat I'd rather be wearing. Cheers Duke.
Nuff said. I've been trying to tell all these knaf snobs that all they need is a 110 but they weren't buying it...until now. Thanks Uncle Randy for bestowing the knowledge of a true man's man upon us. I just have one question. Is that a pocket clip I see in your pocket!? Please say it ain't so 🤔
Love Uncle Randy
Always interesting how you've got the wardrobe for Uncle Randy at hand. Particularly you've got a hat for Uncle Randy. Now bricky is a Criptid? You've been listening to old Art Bell episodes? You should take some lessons from the master, Lynn Thompson. You test knives by awkwardly stabbing at carcasses and car hoods. Good to see Uncle Randy back in the saddle again.
Hey buddy, ever considered testing a sharpener with open faced carbides, like those that sharpens best sells?
I uh..... Feel attacked (uncle Randy content) lol My friend, I love your videos. Keep it up.
Given his penchant for 420HC, I'm surprised Randy's special medium wasn't hot butter.
This is the same type of person i would be if i lived in Australia and couldn't have guns lol.
Looking trim Pete
Hey Pete, see if Uncle Randy would grace us with a review of the *Buck 632 Mesa* It's a fairly cheap model designed to sell on shelves at Walmart, and to top things off, it's made with Uncle Randy's favorite steel, as well as made in good ole Randy's beloved USA. I'm bout to go burn some brush and whatnot, and decided to go with the Mesa on my hip iver my many other options. But seeing Uncle Randy here enjoying some of Aunt Karen's famous "not gay" fruit loaf, I just knew he'd be tickled in the taint to review another US made Buck.
my tool burrito came with the same lollipop lol
The commitment to the bit is much more impressive than these three intentionally very boring knives.
I do miss your antipodean stuff and nonsense! More please 🙏🏻
miss you bud
Oh yes!!!!!!
Damn, why didn't Randy tell me he was heading over to say g'day? Bastard never invites me on his trips away.
Nice
Was calum von moger on the news over there this past summer ? I hope he makes it back happy .
Guess it's time to pivot from rope cutting to poop-encrusted paper towel cutting!
It’s always a bounty paper towel or a clean wipe. Usually a child has done it
