Hi! Over a year ago I watched your second video on the channel and asked if giulia was suitable for daily. Now, I have been driving a beautiful Giulia Q in Etna Red colour for 3 months. This is a brilliant car with two faces. Perfect daily. When you want it is relatively quiet, comfortable, autonomous driving systems work very well. When you want to play... he's a monster, but still very easy to tame. When it's warm and sunny, it's hard to get them off balance even in race mode, and when you need a little help, dynamic mode eliminate any potentially dangerous situations. Of course, I'm still learning it, but I'm enchanted. I don't have to mention that in this brilliant paint, people who don't know a lot about motorization still react to it like a supercar. The neighbor with whom I was saying hello so far approached me to tell me how much his wife likes my Giulia ;). People pulling off the road, letting you in when you want to join traffic is the norm. Brilliant car - can't wait for summer and traveling along the Croatian Riviera. AND! I made the decision also thanks to you and your assurances that Giulia Q is suitable for daily, for which I thank you very much!

Hi MB. That’s the reason I make these videos. I’ve never been one to ‘follow the herd’ and prefer doing things a little differently. My wife was the one that suggested the Giulia. Don’t do it! It will ruin you for any other car. Seriously though, once driven you’ll be hooked. It’s just a practical Ferrari for a fraction of the price and running costs. Go drive one and you’ll see for yourself. Thanks for watching my stuff. Ed

Most use them as intended so won’t achieve anywhere near that! I’ve averaged 33mpg over thousands of miles but I’m mostly on the highway/motorway. This is UK mpg. US mpg is about 10% less. Not sure where you are? Ed

Here in Australia we use L/100 km. Our Quad does average 6.6L/100km driving from Sydney to Brisbane (roughly 1000km at 110 km/h). When driving in the city, and as intended, it is a lot worse. I blew through almost a tank of fuel on one little mountain trip once. About 70km… That being said, our car is tuned to 607 horsepower (450kw) and 778nm torque.

What's that wee device to keep the valves open?

How do you feel about the cylinder deactivation always deactivating the same three cylinders? From a wear and tear point of view it doesn't sound great, but maybe a knowledgable engineer could say it makes no difference. Also the cylinder deactivation only runs for a max of 90 seconds iirc, and then takes a brake before activating again. The statement that I feel is most true is "This car has kinda ruined me for anything else". GTA probably would be okay.

Diesel engines lubricate both sides of the piston. Petrol engines don’t. My theory is that they should still be oiled from below so not an issue. It’s perhaps not ideal but the deactivation cycle really has an effect on economy over a long journey. Yes maybe a GTA but we’ll out of my price range. 😂😂😂 Ed
