The Ultimate Cammus Direct Drive 15NM Wheel Base Review: In-Depth Analysis and Unbiased Verdict

Ойындар

So, it's been a long time in the making, but it's finally here! In today's video, we're diving into the Canvas DDWB, a 15 Newton meter Direct Drive Wheelbase. This review has been a long time coming, and I can't wait to share all the details with you.
Camas reached out to me last year with an offer to review this wheelbase, and I agreed to give it a fair and honest assessment, so you know I'll be transparent about my experience.
During the review, I tested it in iRacing and ACC. The force feedback feels phenomenal. It's worth mentioning that the Cammus software could use a few more settings to further customize the force feedback experience, but overall, it's pretty good.
I hope you enjoy this comprehensive review of the Canvas DDWB. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. And as always, thank you for being a part of our racing community. Your support is what makes this all possible. Stay tuned for more reviews and racing content coming your way.
See you on the track!

Here is a little trick as for the drilling of the holes. Take a clean sheet of paper. Place it on the bottom of the wheelbase. Take a regular pencil. Hold it in a tilted fashion and run the side of the tip of the pencil, lightly across the paper (preferably over the edges of threads, which are now underneath the paper). That will create a clear imprint of the position of the threads. Take the paper and use it as a template to drill the holes in your rig.

Good review mate. Ive had mine for almost a year now and still flawless and feels awesome. This thing is a beast at 15Nm. I only use 50% power mostly and plenty of power and details. Theres already a mounting hole adapter available to match fanatec holes and also a base plate adapter with tilt for side or base plate mounting.

I've heard mostly good things about cammus. So many options for DD nowadays. Its pretty awesome. Im personally a fan of the wheelbase buttons, i think thats a great idea.

had mine for 8 months now great bit of kit though be warned if you have an early model and buy the gts wheel you will need to use the usb cable that comes with it as the hub has a has different pin setup and usb cable is poor quality but gts rim is very nice when you get it working . great power from the base.

I'm looking at this for my setup. Something I wanted to know. I want to mix and match, as you say "environments" Due to reading and viewing I like this wheel and base option Now I would like to use the SIM jack pedals, tried them and really impressive with some dampening/spring mods and vibration additions with the SIM jack or FRC H pattern selector and load cell hand brake Could I ask would that all work together. Plus I would like to invert the pedals. Is that something that's often done? I know the last bits off topic but may as well ask someone with further knowledge

Lool you haven't played ACC at all. You don't have track medals for Zolder? How's the stepping on the motor when ON and OFF?
