bro i get that byleth was the only character from pass 1 that i was personally hoping for, because three houses was my first ever fe game and i loved it, but every character we've got before then and in fighter pass 2 has been great imo

It’s funny how the character from a game with no weapon triangle uses weapon triangle lol

Yeah they "removed it" but swords still does more dmg to axes than lances lol. There's gotta be a minor help

Some corrections: Byleth's Nair isn't his only out of shield option, up b, and on laggier moves or jump reads, up smash also are pretty good to great oos options. The tip of down tilt can combo, at low percents it can combo into ftilt, at high percent it can combo into up air to set up a juggle or even kill. Up b combos are not true, the move is incredibly di-able, so any combos from it are either a di read or rely on the opponent messing up their di, which is a surprisingly reliable strategy, since humans aren't perfect. While it's true that fair autocancels, it's better to just land with it as low to the ground as possible instead. Side b will be netting kills. Just because it doesn't kill at 70% like his other moves doesn't mean it doesn't kill.

Aw you forgot that their side smash does more damage if angled upwards. I think thats still a thing..

It does the more damage angled upward and less angled downward like Marth’s shield breaker or Corrin’s f-smash (will edit if I learn more.)

There's a difference between edgegaurding and ledgetrapping. You said edgegaurding when you ment ledgetrapping in the f-tilt section

I found Bylieth more funny than disappointing lol

The distance demon. I main them and I love and hate them. I understand them having trash grab range but it shouldn't be stuck in the animation forever. Also, I don't think there's a character that's punished so heavily for using smash attacks. The spear at least should push back people if you hit them with the tip on shield. That's literally all I would ask for in buffs. Less active frames on whiffed grab and pushback on forward smash on the tip or at least more shield stun.

@@ryanhendricks1027 No they wouldn't. Her recovery and start up frames are abysmal especially on her smash attacks. I'm talking about forward smash having pushback AT THE TIP to help her ground game not her other smash attacks. She's slow because she has range and that's fine but she shouldn't be punished for what she was designed to do correctly.

Byleth's Up-B spike is so fucking sick! Nothing more satisfying than catching an opponent that tries to recover high with this beast of a move and sending him straight to the bottom blast zone.

Skuxxed I think you can drag opponents down with up air if you fast fall like Shiek or Joker’s up air. Failnaught is also optional for offstage gimps if the opponent tries to recover low, just a little more risky since they can also turn the tables.

Her f-tilt can be used at fox trotting. With correct spacing, you can punish grab spammers, and dash attack spammers. Mix it up with up-tilts, if they like to roll alot or short hop attacks.

I’ve noticed how it’s possible to change the direction of the way Up B spikes an opponent? Like, I’m personally trying to figure out how to control it but so far no good on my end. It actually levels up her edgeguarding and punish game if controlled correctly considering the crazy angles possible with it.

How do you neutral air so low? everytime I do it he jumps to his maximum height, is it something with the settings or do I need to use the GameCube controller. I’ve been using the Pro Controller

It was probably a lot easier to make Byleth a little bit of all three house leaders with the sword than making an entire moveset around an axe would have been. On top of that Edelgard would have been way too slow to be good with how Byleth's axe moves work
