    The rug is actually a really good deal for a vintage Turkish rug that might stay with you for the rest of your life. It looks amazing. But please if you haven't done it yet, use rug gripper!!! You can see in the video that the rug stretches when you walk on it due to the slippery wood floor so it might lose its shape in the future. :)

    He’s good but that’s offensive to say to actual LICENSED interior designers with a degree who are trained to basically build a building ground up and know how to draw construction documents. Interior design is so much more than decorating. There’s a bunch of “interior designers” on HGTV like Magnolia Farms and Meghee... but they aren’t licensed as well so they don’t have the training or ability to architecturally change/build without hiring an architect or someone who has a stamp to release construction documents. Also varies by state but that’s how it is in GA.

    I literally laughed out loud at 10:07 when you said “I’m just going to go to Homegoods right now to find a rug”. No one just goes to Homegoods to find the rug they want. No one. You got so lucky. That rug is so nice! A good neutral rug with tiny pops of color, that is handwoven, wool, AND VINTAGE, is so hard to find. And there is no need to justify the price you paid. A hand knotted, wool rug. Everyone needs to STOP buying cheaply made plastic propylene artificial material rugs, that don’t last and look cheap. Buy ONE good hand knotted wool Turkish / Moroccan / made in India rug, new or vintage restored/revived from a trusted source, and use it and care for it for a lifetime!

    While I agree that he shouldn’t be judged for the amount he payed for the rug, it’s sort of weird for you to say everyone needs to buy a real authentic Indian made rug. Like I’m sure all of us would love to but many of us aren’t fortunate enough to be able to drop 1500 on a rug. A lot of people want their space to be comfortable but don’t have an unlimited budget

  • @LittleGrayPanda

    @LittleGrayPanda

    Dominic Zaragoza you can eventually invest in a hand knotted rug made in India, Turkey or Morocco or even made in the US. You can get whatever rug that suits your budget now, and when the time is right, invest in a good one later. Sort of like furniture or a good mattress, or even fashion, investing in good pieces later are going to save you money from having to rebuy these items later. I agree, not everyone can afford a hand knotted wool rug. But these are items that one can get when the time is right in their life and save money down the road from having to rebuy later. Also check home goods for hand knotted rugs. You’ll be surprised. People are finding wool hand knotted rugs for $130-$400. So these rugs can be affordable if purchased at the right place too. It’s just more difficult to find the right one for your home since home goods can be a treasure hunt. And you have to be lucky sometimes. I found one for $129 that I really liked but it sold when I didn’t buy it right away.

When I was living in Chicago, the Home Goods was not as good ,so I think it's the area you live in that determins the selection at your HOME GOODS.
