It made me shake with fear…

The droid missiles that the B3 launched were sentient, but had orkz sentience and really love their jobs.

About the missiles sentient beings, it reminds me of the movie cars, in which even planes, ships and trains are sentient and can carry cars in them.

Imagine if the Clone Wars had lasted a few more years and we would have seen the B4 or B5 Battle Droids.

An interesting take could be the B4 or B5 being smaller rather than larger. I'm talking smaller than a B1. A tiny, swarming droid that could be produced at incredible speed.

I think both the B3, and the Clone Blaze Trooper should be in the Star Wars: Fall of the Republic mod if they aren’t already. They could be added as offensive siegebreaker units that could assist their respective normal Clone and Droid soldiers. Their flamethrowers could be used to eliminate squads of droid and clone units while their other special weapons could be used against Jedi/Dark Acolytes and even some light vehicles.

The blaze trooper is in that mod as a mission reward but the b3 isn't

Intellectually, I understand that when GL was thinking about a droid army, he was going more gundam than terminator, which is probably why it's 4 meters tall. But surely the size is for the density projector and not the imaginary Protodeka fight 🤫 Great video 👏🏻

What always confused me about the b3 is the wide spray pattern plasma weapon. Like is it a "pulse" weapon like the clone weapons or other psuedo plasma weapons. Or is a true plasma weapon like the gungan boomas or the aggressor class's main weapon. And what does it mean by wide spray. I never understood what any of it meant. Made homebrewing this awesome droid for ffg star wars rpg an absolute nightmare.

Love all the CIS/ Droid content. Wish we got more stories from them in the future... not just old units that show ip as member berrys (commando droid in the Outlaws trailer for example)

When density projector did not work as it should. Then thay had to intall military grade energy shild. HK-47 said in KOTOR 2 I think that it is good metod how to not get killed/deactivated by lighsabers

The droid is not that much of a problem on open terrain. A tank or walker would make short work of them. Same problem Droideka have but the B3 is a bigger target. It would sense if the CIS had a few thousands of them and used them for defense and close quarter assaults. Them being used mainly for defense would also justify why so many seem to survive the Clone Wars.

I think it would have been cool to find one of these B3s functional after the clones It could be a dangerous gamble as if it where in a sleep mode like how the B2 could in republic commando since it might not be aware the war is long over and initate combat protocols. However if were capable of speaking like any other battle droid I am sure it could be reasoned with potentially and how it would come to terms that the CIS lost the war. As well being curious if any of its fellow battle droids survived the war. Thanks to the Trade Federation being stingy when it came to regular memory wipes of its battle droids they developed their own personalities much like organic soliders or even veterans of past wars. kind of like the situtation in star wars rebels with General Kalani and in the Madolrian were some old B1s and B2 droids were working in more of a civilian capacity to help out the citizens of a back water planet. Because they were a terrifying force to reckon with during the clone wars especially for non force weilders. But say in an immediate post galactic empire era with realitive peace in more of generally understood appreciated sense versus under the empire where peace and order was more subjective in nature both in ones opinion and the litterial subjectating of planets. Like seeing one of these Hulking droids with no immediate purpose left and actually being able to share it personality and opinions possibly even with a Jedi the very individuals it was created to defeat in battle.
