I know the way of preapring mate seems unnecessarily complicated, but it all has a logical reason: you tip the yerb and pour a bit of water before inserting the straw intothe wet yerba so that the straw doesn't get clogged with all the dust (many people, me included, like to shake the yerba a bit while covering the gourd with one hand to remove the excess dust beofre doing anything else); then you pour the water in the depression instead of all over the yerba so thatit takes more time for the yerba to lose all its flavor since the highest parts of the yerba will remain dry for longer; and finally, not moving the straw around is also meant to prevent it from getting clogged with dust and leaves.

If you come to Buenos Aires, I recommend that you learn about the Argentina Polo Day experience. The city is beautiful, but the countryside is also beautiful, and to disconnect from the city, be in nature and live incredible experiences is a great plan!! Hope see you here!!

People always making stupid comparisons. Buenos Aires is Buenos Aires. It's unlike any other city. It has some influence of European architecture, but it's not Paris, it's not Madrid either.... not even close. And I don't think it's the prettiest or best either (I'm Argentinian and I live in B.A.). There are so many other beautiful cities... Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Prague, Frankfurt, Munich... to name a few .

It only ensures Buenos Aires, along with those metropolises, is one of the most beautiful in the world, and reference is being made to MAJORS metropolises. , which isn't the case of Rome-Milan-Prague or Munich...Major metropolis are + 10 M inhabitants.

Buenos Aires is a beautiful and vibrant city. It is a shame that Santiago's builders and architects did not preserve the elegant buildings in downtown Santiago and El Golf, Las Condes. They replace them with glass common buildings.

Glad you liked my home town, you stayed pretty close from were I grew up (San Telmo). Great you ordered slices in Güerrin, even if you take a table, ask for slices, a whole pie will take forever and it's a lot of fodd. And yes, we have the best icecream 😉😊

KL was one of the best places I have ever visited, and my kids loved Redang and Tioman islands were we had a stunning experience Love from an Argie PD: Most of the biggest port cranes in malaysian ports were built in Argentina, at least that was the case at the turn of the century when I visited your wonderful country

You can drink mate bitter or sweet, when you try it for the first time it has to be sweet, because it is very bitter for those who are not used to it, I used to drink it sweet and the bitter mate seemed very ugly to me, now I'm used to it and I I take both ways

@@MaxandJacqueline those of us who r already fourth or fifth generation of European immigrants, remain faithful to coffee, mate wasn't typical of large Argentine metropolises until well into mid 20th century, it was introduced from rural areas or immigrants from neighboring countries.

Being an argentine world experienced wine & food journalist, I can say, that I love ur cuisine tour value for price experience, and no doubt N 1 is Asado in its multiples formats... Then you have 6 different regions in our country, each with its own tipical cuisine. To give an idea, there are 18 kinds of empanadas, depending the province. But generally speaking f or B. A., is: Asado, empanadas, pizzas, pasta, pastel de papas, revuelto gramajo, ensalada criolla, (lettuce, tomatoes, grated carrot, onions, a hint of garlic, with mayoliva and vinagre emulsion), locro, puchero and carbonada (stews for winter), tortilla criolla, choripan, morcipan, lomito o matambrito; milanesas de pollo, beef, aubergine (eggplant), or filet de merluza (hake) a la napolitana,; a simple stake with different salads, puré de papas o zapallo, or french fries; and lots of vegetable soups. If you add alfajores, colaciones, arroz con leche, flan, helado, types (not just classic medialunas) facturas for tea/bkfast (viennoiserie, pastries), (cakes), and mate, fernet, etc, the list becommes endless...

It was a very local place and absolutely packed! We were lucky to snag a table. The meat was very good too 🫶 but they had no chimmichurri which was the only disappointment

The history that the guy told you at 3:45 about River and Boca is completely false. River didnt move because they loses a match or anything. Looks like the guy like to invent histories for tourist. River moved because they bought a giant terrain to build a new stadium since there was no space on La Boca.

No existe el conurbano porteño, existe el conurbano bonaerense y si se trata de decir que hay zonas salvajes no es necesario irse al conurbano, a pocos metros del centro de la ciudad de BA existen zonas picantísimas y degradadas al máximo, mas con el desastroso desgobierno municipal que destruye la Ciudad desde hace década y media

The new Libertarian government has only been in power for 5 months and is fixing what Cristina Kirchner and her associates destroyed.

Para ser honesto, no nos sentimos tan inseguros. Tuvimos mucho cuidado, por supuesto, pero nos sentimos muy bienvenidos y sentimos que los lugareños fueron muy amables.

Es un engaño lo del dulce de leche brasileño. Argentina tiene más de 300 tipos de dulce de leche . Seguro le dieron de probar un dulce de leche argentino de baja calidad!! El dulce de leche brasileño no existe al lado del argentino. Esa es la realidad y ellos lo saben. Saludos
