I had such a crush on him. My husband had his looks. When I first saw him a gorgeous Tyrone Power look alike I thought he was an actor. Tyrone Power was the perfect looking man in every way.

It’s quite amazing how Power’s son Tyrone IV, who was born after his dad’s death, says “He was so gorgeous, so pretty that....” Doesn’t the son even know that he is practically a clone of his late father?! It’s unbelievable! Even the killer smile ! Uncanny. 😍

As an unconditional admirer (since I was a girl) of the great Tyrone Power, I want to thank you for the extensive, complete and respectful video, through which you keep his memory and his career alive. He was talented, hard-working, very expressive and above all else he was a subtle actor. No exaggeration or overreacting. I have all his movies and watch them often. Besides, he was very self-critical. Of the nearly fifty films that he starred in, he was only proud of four: "Blood and Sand" (1941), "Nightmare Alley" (1947), "Abandon Ship" (1957) and "Witness for the Prosecution" (1957). Too bad he died so soon. He still had a lot to give. I love Mr. Power's children. What united the blood no one and nothing could separate. I like that Romina, Taryn (while she lived) and Tyrone, Jr. continue to be together. They are very proud of him. This would have made their father very happy! Thanks again.

I agree. I’m just discovering his work, and he’s so attractive and a versatile actor. I respect his acting.

Excellent , especially with his children talking about him .

I watched quite a bit of his films during the beginning of the pandemic. My late mom was a big fan of his. Son of Fury and When The Rains Came was good.

And during this filming, Tyrone Power IV didn’t even seem to realise he had almost the exact same handsome face as the Dad he never knew! I was so sad for him not having met such a wonderful, kind & brave father. Tyrone Power was also a patriot who flew wounded soldiers from the Normandy landing and Iwo Jima to safety. If just for that, never mind that TP was a much-admired actor, even among his contemporaries, and adored matinee idol, the younger TP should be proud and content.

It must’ve been really surreal for Linda Christian to look at this younger Tyrone Power (IV), her ex-husband’s posthumous son with his third wife. In this documentary, the son is about the same age as his matinee idol father was - right about when Linda Christian married him. Tyrone Power had the sexiest eyebrows in Show Biz and his 3 children inherited them. 😁 Funny how they talk about how studio execs thought their dad’s eyebrows were unattractive.

In SON OF FURY beauty meets beauty indeed + a great fight between Sanders & Power to wind things up. 1942 featured 2 of the great knock down drag out fisticuffs that I can remember. The other one being between Wayne & Scott in THE SPOILERS.

It's ironic that perhaps the only man to compare to this paragon of the pretty wasn't an actor at all. NFL quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is an almost perfect doppelganger for the legendary matinee idol. Biographer Fred Guise put it best in his book "The Last Idol, "a man almost too good looking to be true." In many ways, Tyrone Power is still the last idol. A combination of looks and effervescent charm like no film star since. Singularly unique in cinematic history.

Makes no sense

I still have an uber crush. His looks and voice are so alluring. Always made me glad to be a woman. Next crush was Sean Connery. A feast for my eyes.

considering the many goodlooking leading men of Hollywood most were gay but miraculously all their encounters never got reported!

Black Americans say TIE-RONE. But in original Irish ancestry, the name is pronounced TI-RONE (as in "tip").
