Genuine question - Here in Australia, why is the Honda dealership around extra 100-200 Aussie dollars more expensive than Toyota? We service both cars, a Honda sedan and a Lexus sedan at each respective company dealership, Honda and Toyota. However, for the exact same service, Honda is always the more expensive cost at the end of the day.

I know this is off topic but could you possibly tell me where the BCM is on a 2008 Honda CRV auto transmission 4WD? One dealer said the BCM is bad but them they cant find it in the system so that I can replace it. The junk yards also said they cant find any listing for this part even though the symptoms indicate the BCM is bad. Basically the doors lock over and over again, Sometimes even rolling down the window will trigger repetitive door locking and the other day I went to wipe the windshield from the light drizzle of rain and the doors locked again sometimes as mush as 4-12 times back to back. Have you seen this as a Honda mechanic and how do I fix this? Thanks and I really appreciate your videos.

Had it changed, ok, about 50 miles later, the light came on again. 😞... Took it in again, the tech scanned and code read EGR valve. Is it possible that both can fail, as one affects another? Tech said, NO not related.... Are both part of the emission system? Thx

How is the MdX going? Still own it? My sister had one for at least a while. Earlier one. Yours has the V6. Pretty good engines. It needs keeping a good belt on there so change at 100k along with spark plugs and valve clearances. Pretty massive 2k service. If its me I take the engine cover off to run cooler. Stay on top transmission fluid changes about every 30k miles. Keep your injectors clean for proper misting of fuel.

Hey man totally random question. I own two v6 hondas 11 accord and 07 ridgeline I have no idea if they have ever had a valve adjustment they run perfectly and I take really good care of them. Are there symptoms for needed a valve adjustment? I have come across many honda owners with very high mileage on their engines most well over 230k miles and most of these owners have never had a valve adjustment and they have been perfectly fine so I guess I'm just trying to understand how some owners make it so far without one and if I need one ?

You have to ask yourself if it's something you really want to do, because you're going to be doing it for a really long time. :D I would look for a car manufacturer sponsored school and save the money. I worked in a shop with built in toolboxes. I prefer to buy my own and build it the way I want it to be. Besides, I’m a tool junkie so it was a struggle to fit all my tools in the shop toolboxes and keep them as organized as my personal Matco 6s is.

No torque specifications on caliper bolts? Another technician is constantly cursing. I don't think they work with that approach in Japan.

I never do. I'm not wasting my time with a " free 360 inspection " when I don't get oaid for it and paid FLAT RATE. If i was hourly it would be a different story.

That homie with the torque wrench is cringe worthy. Both his preformance and demeanor. Gotta take pride and keep the standards high.
