The Two-Faced Hero: Duncan Ferguson's Triumphs and Scandals
Спорт
Ferguson's aggressive style of play resulted in a career total of nine red cards, as well as a three-month prison sentence following an on-field assault of Raith Rovers' Jock McStay in 1994. Eight of those red cards were in the English Premier League, where he holds the joint record for dismissals alongside Patrick Vieira and Richard Dunne. He is known by the nicknames "Big Dunc" and "Duncan Disorderly".

What sort of idiot breaks into the house of Duncan Ferguson 😂😂😂
Big Duncan Ferguson was an absolute beast on the field. He was a legend for Everton.

Two faced? That was the fans favourite thing about him... one honest and true face, always.... he could play mind you, he could play!

He could play. Dreadful scoring record. Even worse disciplinary record. Failed every time he went to a big club. International career simply didn’t happen. But put him in a mid-table team either side of the border and he’d score a moderate number of goals.
Nice video!
Always wore his big heart on his sleeve - never shirked anything and his performance towards the end of his career at Goodison in the lights against Man Utd was the most I’ve ever seen anyone give in a blue shirt in over 60 years of watching - certainly a modern day legend for me !! - UTFT
People forget about his football skills. Good in the air good on the ground. An on a run cant be stopped
Duncan is still loved by every club he played for. Although he'll always be an Everton man here in Newcastle Duncan was brilliant. He gave us everything from day one and despite his injuries, was worth every penny.

Do Newcastle fans love him? Dundee United got the best for him. Rangers were delighted to get their money back. Newcastle know that his arrival marked the end of their time threatening to overhaul Manchester United. But Everton fans haven’t really had anything to cheer for the last 20-30 years or so and look back fondly on him kicking opponents and burglars alike.
Ref didn't see headbut on McStay. Reason he was jailed is he was on probation.

‘striking a man on crutches’ doesnt even try to tell the story of what happened. I remember a Liverpool fan in the top balcony at goodison in a derby in the 2000’s who was thrown out for lashing out with his crutches. If he’d got lamped it would have been a very different story
what a beautiful conclusion clip with paul ince
Pure entertainment👍
People think Ferguson was just a hard man but if it wasn’t for injuries he would’ve been a top player, you don’t break the British transfer fee for nothing, he was quick, great in the air (one of the best I’ve seen) and had a great touch, he was a great target man. Problem was he was always injured when he played though and full of painkillers etc
Coming out off court in Glasgow after he had been jailed a celtic fan on a scaffold was shouting aha aha aha ha ha love it

A legendary thug.
This guy was idolised by the Everton fans, and rightly so, but as good as he was banging the goals in, mostly with his head, because he was crap on the floor, that he will admit himself, Pity he was a thug on the pitch, and off it, which was a great pity. He could have been a true Scottish great ,at international level.but for his temper.

A Scottish friend of mine told me if I wanted to sound authentically Scottish I should just mispronounce every vowel.
I remember that am sure big Duncan lived in Northumberland.
What's do good about a striker who scored 1 goal every 4 games. So in a season of league and cup games you might be lucky to see him get 12-13 goals. Waste of money.
Pity about the dreadful background music ruins video please delete.
He never even made contact
The dispute with the Scottish FA was due to the awful way he was treated in Scotland. A prison sentence when he wasn't even booked, pathetic.

I think he might have some sort of karma heading his way.

Am a red but wow was he 2faced Scotland let him go to jail he never played for his country again he is a blue though and though respect were respect is due he was and is boss
A hooligan that was good at playing football , attacking a man on crutches in Edinburgh was an all time low. And a referee that doesn't book the foul on McStay is questionable at the very least.

Typical Everton player, no skill & no style, just a yard dog who was lucky to become a professional, he would probably have been in & out of prison otherwise. Thank god players like that don't even get a look in, in the game nowadays.
