I get if it’s not someone’s thing but it’s definitely not horrible. I’ve seen horrible movies (Rob Zombies The Munsters for example lol). It’s pretty good for the low budget indie movie it started out as.

    The vampires who have abilities had it when they were human. Alice use to have visions when she was a mental patient. Bella couldn’t be read or hurt by another’s gift because she’s a shield. They gifts become heighten when they become vampires. There supposed to be used to capture their prey, but vampires like the voltari use them for army purposes to stay in power and to make other vampires follow their laws

    The thing about the CGI baby is because they were trying to be faithful to the books ( in the books : the baby is supposed to look older than her actual age , like a tiny grownup, at every stage… but obviously, it’s one thing to imagine it while reading a book, and it’s another to try and SHOW it on screen … it was totally weird looking…

  • @auroralee7451
    @auroralee7451 Жыл бұрын

    Believe it or not the CGI baby was an improvement to their original plan. They were going to use a robotic baby that looked like a Chucky doll, but decided it looked too creepy and chose to make the baby CGI instead. If you want to see what the robot looks like Google "Chuckesmee". Also, in case you are wondering, the reason they didn't just use a real baby/toddler was because Renesmee was supposed to have the intelligence and awareness of an adult in the body of a baby/toddler and they didn't feel they could achieve that accurately with a real baby/toddler. Also, in the Breaking Dawn book there was no final battle scene at all, the battle was added for the movie only. In the book Alice shows Aro her vision which changes his mind and the Volturi leave. We are never shown nor told what Alice's vision was in the book, so everyone in the theatre was completely caught off guard by that scene and everyone lost their shit when Carlisle and everyone started dying.

    Only thing I didn’t like about this movie is they cut out the scene where Edward dislocated Jacobs shoulder after finding out he imprinted on the baby, they make it seem like he’s kinda over it when he wasn’t he was PISSED OFF but I guess they showed it more with Bella than Edward since it’s from her point of view. Jacob actually put Charlee at risk bella was only allowed to live because she was willing to give her life for one of them (Edward) plus Auro was intrigued by Bella since she was human and could basically shield herself off from their powers mainly dealing with the mind, I personally feel they would’ve found a way to keep her dad in her life but not at the risk of possibly getting them all killed jacob was being selfish in my opinion like he made a very big choice that could’ve ended badly for Charlee

    Well that scene does exist, the edward Jacob part, I’ve seen it in certain cuts but not the theatrical cut. That’s why Jacob isn’t there immediately cause Edward realizes and he does hurt Jacob so that delays Jacob

    Actually, Charlie couldn't know about vampires, it's their law (volturi law) but he can know about the wolves because every pack has a different set of rules, and wolves don't obey by vampire law, only pack law, so jack told Charlie what he was but not what Bella was, as long as no one tell him what the Cullens are Charlie is not a risk because the law wasn't broken!

    I think the message of the whole series is "its us against the world" (kind of like Romeo and Juliet) in the pov of Bella because she's the main character of course and she falls involve and decides she"ll do anything to be with Edward even if it means leaving her family, killing herself by jumping off a cliff, or going up against the volturi. she's lucky his family stands behind him because im sure she would've went up against them as well if they hated her.

  • @musicdaydreams2506

    A lot of people had an issue with Alice’s vision in the movie because the books already stated that Alice can’t “see” when the wolves are involved and the wolves were involved in this confrontation. So, someone wrote a fanfic explanation that Alice “invented” her vision just like Kyle hypothesized. In the book, I’m pretty sure there was no vision. Aro just decided that Bella’s shield power was too strong and counteracted their main offensive weapons of Jane and Alec. And then Nahuel showed up to prove Renesmee wouldn’t be a danger.

    The thing about the battle, is that it doesn't exist in the book. Everyone literally just talks about it in the field, which obviously isn't too exciting, especially in movie format. Having the battle be Alice's vision of everyone's potential future at least gives us some action as viewers 😊

    I agree with AJ on Jacob 💯 That guy always has an alternative motive... I hate the fact that he can't respect Bella's choices ever if it doesn't allign with what he deems ideal... He keeps hanging around Bella he kept coming around like Dude she's married and she chose... He wasn't supposed to be around facts at that moment in time... Let's not forget how the wolves came to know about the baby anyway... Also after Bella gave birth he seemingly was going in there to harm that child 😭 I can't stand that guy

    Jacob would have imprinted on Bella's daughter regardless. He imprinted when she was a baby because he was there. But had he been gone and returned and the daughter would have been full grown he would have imprinted on her then, because that was who he was destined to imprint on. The only thing they don't ever talk about is what happens if your imprintee dies before you meet them...would there be someone else to imprint on? Great reaction!

    But it’s still so wrong. It was sneakily in there, how some wolves imprinted on kids and such, but when I got to Jacob and her it clicked that the author is a Mormon. this was literally normalizing grooming. And if they use the excuse their soulmates that’s still creepy, it says she has NO free will or choice and has to be with a man… who groomed her since she was born

    When 1 dies, the wolf imprints again on someone else. In the book when the legend was told, the wife that stabbed herself was that wolf’s 3rd wife/imprint. Bc wolf’s live as long as they continue shape shifting. And obviously their human wife’s eventually dies. So wolf’s usually marry multiple times.

    I liked what one of you said at around 33 minutes about suggesting Alice may have tailored the vision to get the volturi to go away because I always thought that she may have done that. Glad someone else said it. Makes it even cooler in my opinion but I liked the debunk about aro having powers of seeing truth as well so that's a good point

    About the imprinting, it happens instantly when they see their intended for the first time. Since Jacob is going in originally to kill the baby & it happens, because she is his "person" so whatever age they are when they meet, that doesn't matter. And it is also Renesmee's decision alone what wants/needs from Jacob. So if all she wants is a lifetime friend then that is what he would be for her. But at the same time, Renesmee also being a human/vampire hybrid allows the pack to become stronger if she would want to have children with Jacob. Lots of possibilities/choices for Renesme to make for her future.

    😏 I'm pleasantly surprised that your discussion actually got really involved. The messages are: 1) In life, we all need supportive family, trust-worthy friends and, if very lucky, find a rare love that lasts "forever". 2) And beware of people who will covet what you have and try to steal it, own it too, like Aro of the Volturi. As for *imprinting*, that's involuntary, Jacob had no control over it. The baby was unique, she could sense his presence even the womb and wanted him near. That's why Bella kept saying she felt complete when he was around.
