The Texas Water Development Board participated in a two-day visit to the Rio Grande Valley in September. Board members and staff toured the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Citrus Center, met with local irrigation district managers, toured the Southmost Regional Water Authority brackish groundwater treatment plant in Brownsville, visited two of North Alamo WSC’s wastewater treatment plants in Donna and Weslaco, and toured drainage sites around Harlingen and Los Fresnos. Additionally, the TWDB held a Board meeting with stakeholders at Harlingen City Hall.
