The Turks & Caicos Aggressor II Expedition
If you've ever considered a live aboard diving expedition, Aggressor Adventures should be your first choice. Established in 1984, the Aggressor Fleet includes more than 30 custom fitted diving vessels, world wide. And when I say "custom fitted", I'm talking about the most perfectly engineered diving vessel you can imagine - equipped with every possible piece of equipment to maintain self-sufficiency in some of the most exotic diving destinations imaginable.
I was very fortunate the past week to join the crew of the Turks & Caicos Aggressor II for a week long odyssey of extraordinary diving and sea life encounters. Our journey took us from the sheer coral cliffs off North West point to the flourishing reefs just south of French Cay. During 6 full days of diving (5 dives a day) we encountered too many vibrant spectacles of nature to count, let alone record. Wall diving affords the perfect opportunity to explore coral formations which have matured over millennia - a rare privilege to visit a nearly pristine ecosystem which is mostly removed from the impact of humanity.

I’m doing the Turks Aggressor in September 🤙. I really enjoyed the Belize and Cayman Aggressors. Interested to see what diving Turks has.

You're in for a most excellent undersea odyssey. Make sure not to miss the night time shark dive! I'm aiming to be back in T&C at some point this year as well.

What amount of experience and certs would you recommend for a new diver going on this or similar liveaboard?

As a new diver, a live aboard is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills and build experience in a variety of diving conditions. Your best bet - complete your PADI advanced open water certification before taking a trip on a live aboard dive vessel, such as the Aggressor.
Thanks for sharing! looks awesome. I'm planning a liveaboard for early March, but going solo. It is uncommon for divers to join alone? I'm sure people mostly come in pairs/groups.

Actually - liveaboard's are perfect for solo divers. You will be well acquainted with your "ship mates" and will dive, eat, and hangout as a group. You're going to love it!
