As a generally non-sporty person, I just wanna take a moment to acknowledge how awesome the trainers were. They were genuinely invested in training the guys, didn't mock them for being amateurs, and all round demonstrated great sportsmanship. Things like boxing can seem really intimidating to those on the outside, and the trainers made it seem accessible in a way that I didn't expect.

It’s so sad when people turn away from a sport because people are unwelcoming. It’s easy to say just to suck it up and try your best. But when the people who are supposed to be there to guide and support you, don’t. Then it can be really depressing.

They should do this again! For no particular reason. Without gloves. Only 3v1’s against Ned!

As a boxer, I avoided watching this video thinking that it was just a fluff piece. This was very good. The coaches were spot on, great people to use for this video. The guys really did get a pretty good glimpse at what boxing is as a sport, and they did great.

@@zephyrlopez9146 I'd recommend to go to your local boxing gym. especially in the beginning it is so important to learn the right technique so you don't get hurt when training. There are plenty of beginner friendly courses on boxing. You could also contact a boxing coach and ask would they train you, but that is most likely going to be more expensive. I'd say step one, is going to the gym and talk to the coach. For equipment, ask the coach what they'd recommend for a beginner. Usually you don't need more than gloves and wraps, maybe a mouth guard so you'll get used to it. If you are interested in boxing and are thinking maybe one day I'll go into the ring, i wouldn't start with fitness boxing. A lot of fitness boxing places, don't bother with the correct techniques and it'll take time for you to learn away from that when you transition into combat training.

True. Keith was the most disadvantaged in this. The size difference works against him. Realistically, Zach is smaller, lighter, and has chronic pain. Keith is massive, so it would be bad if he actually tried hard during this. Not to mention Zach’s face is literally at arm’s level for him. At first, I was wondering why they did the match up this was, but I was really happy to see Eugene and Ned go at it. Especially in light of recent events. They brought the intensity while Keith and zach brought the comedy

This just further proves that Ned was paired with Eugene to protect the rest of the Try Guys, rather than having a fair fight

it's kinda true. there's always going to be exceptions but most high level fighters get to their position by being intelligent and disciplined.

@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise I heard that boxers are a risk group for agression and anger control stuff because of being hit in the face all the time. Apart from obvious damage (face being hit) it eventually damages front lobes, which uh, are responsible for that stuff

@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise boxers are not dumb but they has to be aggressive because of they are not they will loose the match. Sometimes anger is good. And since they release all of their anger in the ring, they will be the coolest person among crowd.

Keith is honestly SUCH a good friend. You can see how much he cares about Zach ❤🥺❤

I love the fact that eugene's taekwondo training could be seen during his spar with ned. His footwork and stance at the beggining was a lot more solid than ned's, with a wide stance and slight bounce in his steps. Plus sometimes he would completely stop then suddenly throw a quick punch then chamber it like how taekwondo fighters sometimes do but instead with a fast and unexpected kick to maybe the torso and head. Ive also seen during some points in the fight where eugene takes a stance where he puts his front foot out but his head and torso is leaning backwards with his hands down. That is essentially the taekwondo stance that ive seen people use when they spar.

It's like what Ned said he has no habits to break so he easily absorbed what he learned and was able to implement it. Where as Eugene has taekwondo ingrained in his muscle memory that's hard to break especially when you're relying on reflex to defend and have to think fast.

Tony was such a lovely trainer. He’s got a great personality! Kerrie too!

I'm not sure, but they either had a certain British dialect, OR they were Irish? Maybe both. Either way, I loved their accents. They seem so trust worthy too. Like, if you were under their wing, you could tell them anything and they'd help you work on it, within their means.

Well... Ned is a nickname for Edward, not just in this Ned's case. It's one of those weird things like Bill for William or Bobby for Robert or Dick for Richard. At some point in history, this nickname style happened where somehow the nickname starts with a different letter than the real name.

Ned and Eugene took this so seriously. Yes they're not pro's but they gave it their all, they were so in the zone that nothing else mattered. It was almost like a real match for them rather than something that was just simply fun. Impressive.

Ned and Eugene really went ham on each other... like damn! Also, Eugene saying the word, "KINK" it's a kink on it's own... don't come at me *gulps cold water*

When Eugene had to pause for a second, Keith sounded so concerned that Ned was going to keep punching. I love that even when they are fighting each other, none of them want to truly hurt the other person. Ned immediately backed off when Keith started yelling, and Tony even came up to make sure Eugene didn’t pass out. Love these guys and how much they care about each other’s well beings in each video

Ned so nice tbh if you watch the full fight in the 3rd rough Eugene was really tired and Ned could have punched him & knock him out so easily but he waited and didn’t punch that hard till the end !

Honestly I was on the edge of my seat with Ned and Eugenes fight. They did so well and I’m so proud of them both. And a huge shoutout to the trainers for being so supportive and treating them like real boxers. Never watched boxing before but I absolutely enjoyed this!

i love keith so muchhh 🥺 his jokes are always golden, his attitude is just so entertaining and idk, i love his personality, he’s so real and cool

Ned: “we are boxing” punches at the air twice, “kick kick”. Kicks at the air once, “ punch”.

I really like the boxing coach. He just had great chemistry with all of the “Try Guys”. Thanks for posting and for the laughs. I hope everyone’s staying healthy and (trying) to stay sane(ish)

At the risk of overcrowding the classes once the quarantine is over (and thus making it harder for me to schedule), BnB is amazing. The instructors are great - positive without being rah-rah, they give clear, encouraging feedback. Classes kick ass (and kick your ass). In addition to Tony & Kerrie (in the video), Josh, Stephen, Tyrell, Tony G., Simon, Nicole, Brandon (and I know I'm forgetting others). Great group.
