I think you could tell with the way some shots were framed, they weren't centered, but overall they did a good job. It would have been a shame for them to have to shelf these two videos.

Okay but Keith was SO on point rhythmically for the dance portion! Coming from a dancer, that was impressive- props to Keith dude!

that's the first thing I noticed too. He was on the beat the enore time. When Zach and Kwesi danced I thought the fast movement on the chest hits were supposed to look that way, flustered and running after the beat bit when Keith danced, every hit was on beat.

Kwesi might not be the OFFICIAL fourth try guy, but he’s the fourth try guy in my heart. He fits in with this group effortlessly.

As Zach himself has said, he often leans into the silly man-child character in Try Guys videos and so that often means that he doesn't do very well at the activities he tries, but has lots of fun doing them. This was one of the first videos that I thought he was actually trying very hard and actually doing very well. I know Zach has many skills and is a lot more than that silly man child but it was refreshing to see him do something he's really good at.

This is actually a fairly good tutorial and guide for younger actors doing theater for the first time. LOTS of good audition tips by Alex and the Beetlejuice team. Love this content, going to recommend it to my high-school musical kids. Performance-wise...It's really good Eugene didn't do this. He would have crushed it

That’s such a great point. And they said that he was the best dancer of the 3. He was probably in a lot of pain doing just the rehearsals and learning the dance, but he still killed it. I can’t imagine how painful that must have been during and afterwards

I want the full uncut audition tapes of all of them! Also, unpopular thought (even with myself) but I am really interested what ’s tape looks like. Specifically the acting section, where they play Adam. Honestly, Voldemort, and his try guys character, gives very similar vibes to Adam Maitland: Titillated, dry white wine guy, adult recreational classes, dad jokes, home crafts, wholesome wife guy? Pretending to be those things would have really come naturally to him!

Wasn't trying to find clues of nedits but saw some weird stuff happening at the very last seconds of the video. I'm guessing N was between Zack and Kwesi or possibly Kwesi was moved where N was. I'd love to see how the editing was done and what the original material looked like. They obviously and understandably won't be releasing such stuff, but it fascinates me. I'm going to try to find someone explaining how this kind of editing can be done.

You should do Try Guys Try Songwriting and have each of them write and produce a song. Obviously Keith would have an advantage, so Eugene and Zach would each get one of the other Lewberger members to help them. Edit: Also wanted to add that Kwesi's story about skipping the audition in high school really resonated with me because I did almost the same thing as a sophomore in college. I was going to audition for a choir, but I heard the girl before me sing and I was too scared to go in. I've thought about that moment in my life a lot since then and regretted it, so I'm glad Kwesi got to have this opportunity to revisit and move past a similar experience.

Even though I wasn't the one auditioning, I felt nervous for them! Performing in front of others is definitely hard, but they really rocked their auditions!

When they said to scare them, that reminds me of an audition my brothers friends was in and the role was crazy old man, so the judges asked him to go crazy. He took that literally so he literally charged at them and meant to stop right at the table they were at but he couldn’t stop so he accidentally flipped the table. (He got the part.)

I legit don't understand how they totally erased that scatbag from this. Massive props to the editing team.

People keep commenting how Kwesi was just there to be there or reminded them of the kid who took the easy class to get the A. I feel the exact opposite, you can see how into every aspect of this audition he is. He absolutely gave it his best

I feel like it's the kid who took the class to get an art credit, but found that he actually enjoyed it, he hasn't spent his childhood singing along to songs like this, but he's having a blast!

Kwesi was only the guy who obviously didn't have the background/practice in acting the other two did. All of his mistakes were stuff like, blending his words, skipping movements, losing timing, a lack of control that comes from inexperience rather than lack of effort. He was SO enthusiastic and giving it his best though. I feel like these people don't actually know the difference between technical skill and motivation, which is....... weird!

I’m really glad that Kwesi tried to do this in the first place. He really tried his best. I think if he had a little more time to learn the routine, lines, and lyrics he really could give the other guys a run for their money.

When a try guy randomly showed up unannounced in this show like 6 weeks ago, I immediately couldn’t wait for this video. I was not disappointed. Super awesome that Alex Brightman was involved. He’s actually a genius, and so unbelievably talented. Would love more music and theatre oriented tries!

I think its way to quick for them to be making a decision like that, it does not seem like they take their group lightly at all. i feel more time needs to pass before they add an official new member

There’s a few videos where I’m like, would’ve loved to see Eugene. He’s such a strong dancer. But I haven’t seen it yet, can’t wait to see how they do.

@@Vanessa-pf6eu That could definitely be true. I have a better appreciation for the guys. Without being upstaged, they held their own and I got to see each of their strengths as professional entertainers. Also, Eugene might have already auditioned for Broadway before.

As a theatre kid, who sang in a choir for many years, part of this made me nostalgic. I loved being a kid and getting to sing and dance with others and perform on stage. I was usually just in the choir when we did musicals but I liked it nonetheless

I really like the way they let the professionals do the talking and showcase their expertise while they really try to learn and understand the whole process. Their guests are always comfortable around them.

Zach’s thing of pre-determining that he won’t get the part before he goes into the room can actually sometimes pay off. It’s not about being negative or pessimistic, it’s more about not psyching yourself out. Some of the best auditions I’ve ever done are when I’ve felt that I wasn’t right for it and just decided to have fun and go for it, and somehow I’ve ended up doing really well.🤣

I haven't watched Try Guys in a long time, but as someone who grew up in and still does theater, I felt the utter ANXIETY and excitement right along with them! Well done. Can't wait to see who gets cast

I dont get the "If Eugene was there he'd automatically get the part" comments. Zach, Kwesi, and Keith are all amazing as well! They really stepped out of their comfort zone with this and they all did great! Don't diminish their accomplishments. Eugene is amazing of course! But so are these guys! 💖

Agree. I feel like people take the joke of Eugene being great at everything a bit too far. It's perfectly fine, and even encouraging to Eugene, to complement his abilities, but some people make it a backhanded complement as if the other guys are just comedic relief and are bad at everything. Let's celebrate everyone without putting others down. :)

I don't think Eugene would've been the right fit for Adam anyways. Based on the role, Keith always was the one to beat.

As someone who auditioned for theater for several years, I loved this! I wish we could have a camera in the casting office like this haha

Massive props to the editors the cgi is seamless

Kwesi is literally the purest soul, like, when he got out of the audition hugging everyone I might have cried a bit

I agree. I've loved him since he first started showing up in the videos. He's so great!

They all three did so amazing, but I definitely feel like Keith got it. He screams theatre and I think the judges saw that. Zach did absolutely amazing, his dancing surprised me because of how good it was.

I think we all knew at the title of the video, it would be Keith. Before even watching the video. He is the perfect person for this, hands down. Not just for this performance/roll, but any. He could/will do amazing on Broadway. I am so happy for him. I teared up at the end of his performance, seeing how happy he was. He deserves it.

Having the plot of Beetlejuice explained as if the musical is a wholly separate entity from the film (and not an adaptation) was extremely surreal. “There’s this ghost/demon and a couple that dies…” “Yeah, we know?!?”

This brought back auditioning in middle/high school where all the kids who took dance could get through the choreography pretty well and then I was tripping over my own feet 😭 even though I was a good singer and knew to keep smiling even when I messed up I did NOT get into many musicals

They removed Alex from the list of employees on the about me page.. looks like she’s gone too! A fresh new start for the whole company and another great video guys. Can’t wait to see how you evolve in this new era! 💛

Since it’s almost Halloween I would love to see the Eugene, Keith, Zach and Kwesi try haunted attractions 😆

I saw him in Beetlejuice before the pandemic and he was truly amazing. He also performed at the Tony's one year so there is probably a clip of that on-line somewhere. He had some funny "meta" lines about how he has to do that voice 8 shows a week or something. I would see anything he is in - so much non-stop energy.

Everyone did awesome, but I do hope Keith gets it so his theatre degree pays off

He's a KZreadr with an eating show. Very much a performer. His degree has been paying off for years.

Kwesi is such a great person, he has amazing heart. He gives it his all and it makes him just a joy to watch

I wanna be in a real musical so badly omg.. put off watching this for a bit because I thought it would ache and it does but it's also so cool and fun to watch

I cried when Rachel ran to hug Kwesi after the audition was over. Hear me out though… It wasn’t too long ago that I rewatched the video of the try wives skydiving. I remember her advocating (and leaving solid advice) for facing your fear. So it really touched me that Kewsi faced a past fear of his and she was the first to run and hug him. 🥺

I know they have played violins in that allure but I still think it would be amazing if they collaborated with twoset violin and maybe played in-front of an audience .

Every time I watch a video without Eugene in it I’m like “Eugene would’ve been perfect for this” he’s so out there and literally is perfect at everything

I love this- it’s the original “try something new” format that we grew up loving, but amplified now that they’re not just normal guys.

It was so fun seeing the behind-the-scenes of Broadway and the dancing and everything. I have so much respect for all of you because it's always been something I wish I could do, but my social anxiety has never allowed me to do it, but you were all so brave. It almost felt like I was there, too, living through it with you, and you made it so fun :D Keith has such a fantastic voice. Zack did so well in dancing, and Kwesi put so much emotion into everything ❤️ I just loved all of your performances and the soul you all put into it ❤️

Loving all these NYC episodes lately! So fun having unique, city-centered ep ideas! Hope you guys get to do similar at other major 'iconic' cities
