I haven't heard this song in a while and it makes me just wanna go on a Hopsin binge again. He really is such a great artist. So cool you checked him out, he has so many more great ones. "Alone with me" is one of my favorites for both the content and the video.

Hopsin has so many great tracks, honestly it is just another crazy rabbit hole. Three that came to mind in no particular order are Covid Mansion, Kumbaya, and Picasso, but you can't go wrong with him. Loved your take on this song. I always feel blessed that for some odd reason I have never been one to bow to peer pressure. I know I listened to it all growing up from Ice-T to NWA to Scarface to ICP to Nirvana etc. To me it is music, but I know there are many people out there that it affects more than it affected me.

Hopsin is great period because you get raw him on every song and you can tell he has had a journey like most ppl but he actually is open and honest about being the problem then becoming sober and then losing faith in god and then finding him again! A lot of ppl go through that and he speaks for a lot of ppl to worried about the feedback he may get! That being said i recommend listening to all songs to hear journey but thats a lot of songs my top 3 are ill mind 7 5 and 8

The trick is to have a wide array of musical tastes, like heres a rapper mad at the world, and heres a country artist having a breakup, wile pop is just getting into a new relationship, metal and emo just hate the world at it's core, while Christian country/rock is saying everything is gonna be alright. As long as you get that each is a perspective, you dont have to mold your life to theirs, just enjoy the music for what it is 😊

Hopsin was one of my early adult year goats tbh. Now there's a lot of non-mainstream rappers, not so much when in my early adulthood. Shit I think DJ Khaled was the mainstream thing then and all I did was listen to Hopsin and As I Lay Dying.

  • @MrsRealistic

Yeah, there's a lot a "crap" I like to call it...I never understood the whole DJ Khaled thing...I don't like stuff like Drake or any mumble rap. Yuck. Hopsin is actually SAYING something, and you can understand his words! LOL!

Hind sight is always 20/20 isn't it? But if you would have changed anything 11 years ago... you wouldn't be who you are today 😊 There are many things I regret about my past, but I probably would have been a hater if anyone tried to talk sense. It's very hard to be objective and admit flaws or mistakes. I've been there. God bless you my friend 🙏

I agree...I did speak about the gang culture at the end tho, and it's glorification in rap music...and how lost kids think of those gangs as family. I didn't bring race into any other part of the song, because even tho they were white people in the video, what they're doing isn't relegated to one race.
