That was an annoying aspect of the fucking game honestly, it being made at the height of pay to win/energy based mobile games sucked ass. That goes double when all the other Zombie games back then were basically free and fun (Mini DayZ, the first person runner one, etc) Why the devs didn't just bother to sell it without the micro transactions is confusing to me.

Right? Like if you're gonna sundown any piece of software, it's your prerogative to let the end users know you're sundowning the software and won't continue to support it. Glu just got double jeopardy by also removing it from the Google Play/Apple App Store, so that you REALLY can't do anything if the game corrupts to a point where uninstallation and reinstallation would be the only solution.

Sir that game was THE mobile game for me growing up and it still is for me. It was made at the right time when smartphones were still limited and developers were making genuinely creative games, I miss that era and the games from that time it is a shame a lot of those games are unplayable or unremembered.

I remember one zombie mobile game which Square Enix created. It was a Card-based game. I know it has a wiki, but the issue is a preview which had a character design I will never forget. Anyways, this genre was swarming the world in 2015-16. This game really did have a generous run which servers still continued. Some games had interesting plots that really did show betterment of writing and gameplay at times.

I might be wrong but I found the game you're looking for is "Monster dash", made by the same guys who made jetpack joyride, dan the man, fruit ninja, etc. I found this out by using chatgpt and narrowing down all the possibilities and found this to fit your description. The fact that Z.A.M.F and the last of us released in the same year and featured the zombie ant virus is surprising

I played this game before i could read properly, then got it taken away because it was "too violent", I had to ask my dad what the characters were saying

Reminds me of another game I also played: No Zombies Allowed, which also got removed from the app store also but was around the similar time that this existed

Being reminded of this is like a blast from the past

there is no reason for the deletion of the game. Glu just deletes their projects if they don't make enough money or stop funding them and keeping them up to date. Examples are SvZ and its sequel, and Zombies Ate My Friends.

I have ben searching for this obscure zombie game that I played when I was a kid. For years I couldn’t get a lead, all I remembered was the faint remembrance of the apps art style, so unique from other video games I played. As soon as I saw your thumbnail I knew this was the game. Sucks how it’s not on the AppStore anymore, I loved that game, thanks for making this video

It reminded me of a zombie survival game around the same period called DeadTown Survival, it's a top-down survival game with some automation aspect, the game has tons of potential and gameplay depth, too bad the developers just kinda disappeared and its google service shut down, at least its still playable today but unsupported for some android version.

WTF, by the time I checked this game on google play store it showed that it just updated last month wtf happened, I thought the studio already closed or something like that happened to them

I think that what makes zombie games so appealing (at least to me) is the concept of having all of humanity against a single foe, and how there's no hiding behind military forces because not even them are able to control the situation in most of those games' universes. It's a scary situation that gives us a thrill real life doesn't. the teamwork is the biggest appeal factor in most apocalyptic scenarios to me.

Same PvZ just doesn't feel the same anymore.

I remember playing this turn based game like the mobile game "Worms" on my iPad as a child but instead of worms shooting stuff at each other it was based around robots. I remember vividly that the opening cinematic was robots being created in a black and white cutscene, and the gameplay was fairly similar to Worms but with swords and close range combat. Ever since I played that game I've been trying to find it but even after 8 or so years I still haven't. If any of you know what I'm talking about please let me know as I would love to play it again after such a long time!

This is the game I try to exploit the unlimited energy by going for second story to get guaranteed energy and store it for later but ending up using it anyways. Stuck at ep 3.

I think I played this for a little bit back in the day! I swear I uninstalled it for space and then went back to look for it again to pick it back up and it was gone! Seeing that artstyle shook loose a memory I didn't even know I had!
