    Yeah, but listen to the story with the "shark expert" chumming the water and walking around with sharks feeding right next to you.... sounds like that is someone you could say is complacent, rather than being an expert about sharks and being able to read their minds. Comes across as stunning ly reckless.

    Unfortunately in the 2004 Bahamas Ritter attack, the point of that show was that bull sharks aren't dangerous and won't generally attack you! Obviously a terrible mistake, not only were the sharks huge but there were so many his spotter didn't or couldn't tell Ritter quickly enough where all the sharks were. Even watching it at the time I knew it wouldn't end well. I'm glad he survived and other film makers know of this and won't do this sort of thing anymore.

    That’s why sharks are predators of the ocean it’s important to not turn your back on them and don’t even think about swimming away otherwise the shark will mistake you to be their prey To make the shark let go always hit them in the eye and gills these are the most sensitive areas And it’s the only way to survive shark attacks

    I haven't watched actual TV in years and came across this clip by chance, my memory of how the two presenters looked has been frozen in time for 15 or 20 years and it was a shock to see how they look now, as in how they’ve aged. It's like when you bump into someone you haven't seen for a long time and think to yourself “jeez what happened to you” and they are likely thinking the same about you. Life is cruel to us all and that's before getting eaten by a shark...

  • @JoshuaTraffanstedt
    @JoshuaTraffanstedt6 күн бұрын

    Id rather go scubadiving than snorkeling. But in truth if a shark wants to eat you, theres nothing you csn do about it. Even people that survive shark attacks do so because the shark allows them to. Bull sharks can bite off each of your limbs in the span of 20 seconds, if that. Tiger sharks can take limbs super fast and larger great whites and tigers can bite you in half.

    Yes shark attacks are rare and there are certain things you can do to reduce the chances of being attacked. For example do not swim with seals as they are the main prey of certain large species of sharks. Don’t jump off of boats into the water at night, sharks follow boats as they associate them with food as they discard food overboard. Don’t swim at remote beaches. I’ve swam in Australian waters and while it never left my mind I didn’t feel too worried as we were in extremely clear water and the watchers on the boat could see a long way in the distance. Also remember it’s their domain and we are just visiting. Basically don’t do what the shark attack survivor in this clip did, he was destined to be shark bait!

    This is the problem with being in the Ocean in an area known for sharks, in particular of Bull, Tiger and Whites coupled with food sources that could be mistaken for people. And listening to the one with the "expert" that got himself bitten.... just sounds like someone that has been in the environment too often and gotten far too complacent with apex predators. Reminded me of the idiot Grizzly Man in Canada that got himself and his girlfriend eaten....

There is nothing else to understand . The more we mess with their natural food supply by over fishing ect they will hunt elsewhere and we happen to be in their way .

    I hat that they are talking about bull sharks and showed a great white. Also the Erich Ritter incident was mostly caused because the spotter didn’t do their job. That’s what a spotter is there for, to warn the person in the water since you can’t have your eyes everywhere. And that guy scuba diving with seals is just like asking for being bitten. Stupidity hits reality and now making that big story out if it. Thanks for showing your own stupidity so open. Also it’s known that there are some real dangerous (for humans) species of shark around. Swimming in a hunting ground for sharks with the prey is just like walking through a mine field and hoping to survive. No mercy for that guy… sorry.
