this is why it was so irking to see people say stuff about baby reindeer like “if he had been a woman stalked by a man he would’ve been believed/taken seriously by the police.” No! Stalking cases are systemically dismissed

The police also let me down, my stalking got that dangerous that I had to sell my home, my car, leave my job, loose contact with all my friends and family and finally move to another country for my safety. I begged for help but they didn’t care. I will forever live in fear, it’s now just part of my life. I hope things change for others and they don’t have to live their life in fear like I do.

This is absolutely crazy isn't it? That we have to go through severe lengths just to actually feel safe. I'm so sorry for you going through this. I've had this stuff happen to me as well, I know exactly how you feel. 💯. Im glad you did what you know is safe and hope things are ok.🙏🙏

Police should have far more psychological tests ! I had a friend who called the police and they knew her husband and downplayed her having been threatened with a knife! Thank goodness I begged her to go to the doctors each time he physically assaulted her. Later in court that was so key ! If you feel that you can’t trust the police , please seek help from your doctor or a local MP 🙏🏻

Police have let me down consistently too. Which means I’ve had to endure extra months of harassment and stalking because they’ve failed to arrest the perpetrator promptly. And even now it’s been to court, and he’s pleaded guilty, the police have failed me once again because he has breached his bail conditions on numerous occasions and rather than arrest him they’ve spent the last 4 weeks batting my case between departments because no one will take ownership of it.

This woman is clearly very intelligent and so well spoken. She is to be applauded for speaking out about the injustice she has suffered. I realize I don't understand the British justice system being an American and our laws are very different. But, this seems heartbreaking on so many levels how she was let down by those who are sworn to protect and serve the public. I hope her words encourage change.

Exactly. It's absolutely disgusting how some of the police employees are supporting and covering up the perpetrators because happens to be that some of those police employees are perpetrators themselves. If someone is working in police it doesn't make them absolutely innocent and perfect. Police employees are just simple average people as everyone else But for some reason the police employees don't want to understand that they are just the same as all the rest of the public. Thank you for bringing up this issue and talking about such problems publicly 👏💐🌺

What is wrong with people…this is why people end up in trouble…they do not tune into their intuition or gut instinct…you never let you heart rule your head or vice versa…nowadays…people get warnings about these people…but most people don’t heed the warnings…unfortunately you have to be constantly vigilant especially on social media sites.

how would anyone predict he was going to commit crimes and put a tracker on a car? it's not always obvious who is a criminal and who isn't, he was her friend. Manipulation and crime can happen to anyone.

The police don't actually protect us yet we pay taxes to pay for them... when will they stalkers seriously? must we have to be already in a dangerous situation for them to do something? but then it's too late for many in those cases. It's like the NHS, won't actually help you anymore unless you're in an extreme situation.
