The OEM "Laguna" rims on my MK6 VW GTI had a Ronal stamp on the inside of them. Very strong rims. Not the lightest out there but pretty strong.

Jeff Eppenger Most OEM VW wheels are made by Ronal. Lagunas are the most attractive ones though 👌🏽

for 50k you guys should do an edit of all the employee cars at fitment ind. and as the channel/company grows bigger, make edits per every milestone. just a thought tho loving what you guys are doing (:

MAXX YT Hey thanks for your reply I think there are R 10s but they say Ronal Turbo on the flat centers just like in the video. I had them on my 1st gen 1975 Scirocco many years ago

Got the special offset version they did for the '91-'92 Firehawks on my '86TA. Not light but that deep squared dish makes them stand out

The r10 and r50 turbo are still in production and you can get them for a decent low price here in Germany

The Incas are still in my opinnion the best looking wheels to date.

Ronal Turbos are rare? I've got a set of early Phase 2 Ronal Turbos in the garage, one with a huge dent from smacking a pothole, the others all with questionable hand drilled centers to fit over the huge hubs of my old Colt. I imagine mine doesn't have as much value.

Only here for the bear. Been following felgen works on these wheels.

As a GTI owner with a rare set of multipiece Brabus Monoblock IV wheels made by Ronal, this is an enjoyable video. Side note: I believe they also made those Michelin Man wheels too.

I dont remember which ones they were, but i picked up a set of 2 piece brabus wheels made by BBS from a local junkyard. Sold them to a collector

Have had a lot of Ronal wheels under different cars. Specially proud of Turbos from 1987 in 4x108. Have also a set of Teddys in restoration process at the moment - strange, different, but i absolutely love them.

Those Ronal Inca wheels looked fantastic on black Saab 900 Turbos. We used to call them Darthvader wheels. And the Ronal A1 “phone dial” wheels were iconic on 80s Alfa-Romeos.

I love the Teddies :D I also want a set of *_TURBOS_*

Damn didn't know that they help make the famous Inca rims for saab. Love the design of them.

Do Remotec next. Seriously, it's so difficult to find any data on them online, but I think you guys would crush it.

I have a set of the ronal racing wheels. It’s a set that I will never split with. 5:00 and the multi pice turbo was actually called ronalracing.

I remember the Teddy Bears from the 90’s!!!

First time I ever heard of them was the '91-'92 Firehawks. I don't think anybody thought it was the best looking wheel possible, and they could've just used a 17" matched offset GTA copy, but every time I see a 3rd gen Formula with those wheels.... Man, something absurd happens in my brain.

Underrated quality wheels, i used to run them ronal R8s

I only knew of the r36 from the 98-00 Chevrolet Tahoe Limited. But just now I find out Ronal was a big wheel company that I had seen in my childhood of the 80s and 90s. If I could afford 17" x 8" 5 x 5" r36, if they exist. I would grab 12 wheels. To daily drive, to destroy tires, and to blast high speed on freeways at night. On a 88-98 c1500 scsb. Hell, even with a home built 4.3 turbo like a Typhoon or Syclone. My list on engines and drivetrains can go on for a bit.

The r10 turbo is readilly available online I've owned 2 sets from new

One of the most beautiful Ronal OEM wheels is the Ronal Arrasate in my opinion.

I got a pair of Ronal Turbo's on my mk1 Golf. THEY ARE AWESOME!

Ronals are nice. Not forged amazing but for the $ they are awesome. They have a plant near my hometown and if you know the right guy they will sell you the wheels super cheap on the side.

any chance of a series about parts companies outside of wheels? eg TRA-kyoto, HKS, Greddy etc?

Just bought a set of Remotec KBA wheels for my 190E, this is the closest I found to know the origin of the company. I though it was Borbet that started a parternship with another company and went from Remotec to call themselves Borbet.

It should be noted that you can still buy Ronal Turbos (including the mentioned R10) new from the factory...while they had been out of production for a few years, they no longer are for yerars now. And they are not exactly rare, you see them all the time in Europe, just not in the US: www.ronal-wheels.com/de/r10-turbo-polished-bps

Those god damn *TURBOS* will always be my favorite design, even those that had the black decal on... BTW, Why not talk about Panasport?

The Ronal Turbo was not introduced as the R10. They order is Turbo Phase 1s :these ones have a smooth face with no logo: ..then the Turbo Phase 2s..and then the R10. Note, you cannot get the newer R10s in the original Phase 1 or Phase 2 offsets either. That is what makes the R10s less desirable. A set of Phase 1s make BBS RSs look common. they are so rare.

Wheel history videos have gotten much more serious and mature now, Iong gone are the first videos with memes and vines. It kinda lost the magic hahaha. I guess editors have less time.
