    @bentennyson2565 Hmm. This is not really taught among Christians, but GOD'S WORD says that it is better to marry than to burn. Even as a Christian virgin, I am praying and believing for a godly man. I dont like when people say, "you may never get married." That is unhelpful. I feel like married Christians, and sometimes other single Christians penalize Christians who express that they want to be married. I've observed that Christians who are married who have this "marriage is not all that" (when God, in his word, calls marriage "the grace of life") went into marriage with pornography addictions, lust, or chose unwisely in the first place. I always feel like I have to pretend I'm okay with being single for the rest of my life, when I'm not. 🤷🏾‍♀️ And I feel like it's kind of implied that if you desire marriage, or feel lonely, or if that waiting is painful, you don't love God enough or something. People who have this attitude, I always ask, "well, why did you get married?" Of course we should control ourselves, flee temptation, not make provision for the flesh. But if you have a desire to be married, you should pray and believe for a spouse. Honoring God with one's body also includes having sex within marriage.

  • @bentennyson2565

    @bentennyson2565

    15 күн бұрын

    @Deanna974 Thank you for saying that and I do know that the Bible says it's better to marry than burn with lust I was just responding in context of the video. But I fully agree with what you said I hate when Christians say that as it isn't helpful at all because it makes me feel bad for wanting sex, love, marriage, and to not be lonely and like you said it feels like I have to pretend like I'm ok with it when I'm not. Whenever Christians or married people in general say marriage isn't all that I feel like it comes from the perspective of someone who's had it for a long time and like you said has other problems within their marriage. As happy couples never seem to say stuff like that.

    @@Weneed2talktv Agreed, purity and abstinence are both very important for yourself and your future spouse. Although, it is best to remain abstinent and wait for the one God has for you to marry before giving your first to them. Not all are called to marriage but most are. Regardless, men and women should always keep their first time for marriage as God intends. People raised in Christian families should be taught what to and not to do but many lack a parent or we’re raised by ungodly people. Society unfolds around us daily and God willing He will fix things but if not then Heaven awaits the believers.

    just live righteously. That's it. Nothing more nothing less. Purity is all encompassing however. A lot of Christians get caught up in the fact that as long as they aren't having sex that they are being holy. Holiness is a mindset and has a lot to do with character. Treating people respectfully is within purity. Not cussing out someone that gets on your nerves is apart of purity. Refraining from gossiping and slandering is apart of purity. But many of us don't think that way.

    If you remove sex from the table, you get to see people for who they truly are and their motivations… Holding onto your purity, in a world where people want to use you, is very smart. The reality is that we were not meant to go into our 30s even 40s 50s unmarried with no sexual partner , this was written when people were getting married at 15, 18, etc.. we are stretching this out soo much to the point where it becomes impossible. This was something I really needed to hear, my ex used to tell me that because I wanted a family so bad then she has no doubt God has something planned for me. I started to believe her but she doesn't get to decide that, God does. And unfortunately I've compromised myself with her in ways I shouldn't have by making excuses and playing the Law like the Sadducees and pharisees. I repent of my sin and changing my mindset to accept I may never have that simple pleasure in life is very hard to do, especially when I've gotten a taste already. but in doing I become a living sacrifice as the Christ Yahawashai (Jesus) was for me and I got to remember that in the grand scheme of things this life is short lived, a means to and end, and greater things are in the Kingdom which will come.

    I’ve spoken to Minister Ezekiel about this before. I understand that the phrase can come across as idolization. To the pure all things are pure. I do believe virgins need to not idolized a virginity. One can be proud, as in grateful to God for helping that individual withstand sexual Temptations. Virgins aren’t perfect, but through Christ Jesus, we are pure. Yes, I understand. They are virgins who are doing extra into everything but region. No pun intended.

    I've never idolized my virginity and as a woman of God I am far from perfect, no one is perfect. I also don't go around telling everyone my business but I am proud of myself for making this decision for myself and to please and honor God's will. And the last thing I'm going to do is go back and forth with a stranger because my small comment offended you, which is weird. Praying you have a good day!

    I believe this a more positive perspective to Christians/believers honoring or struggling to honor God! Purity is very deep and I always had that understanding you spoke on. I appreciate how you took time to break it down. I believe the best approach to take as a believer is to stop lying to your skin and God. Be honest about your skin (strengths and weaknesses) and seek God for the strength in obedience you need/want for the time you’ll be on earth, not just the moment.

    Sometimes it feels like so much to do as Christian virgin. Its like a list of things to always do: be responsible, walk with Christ, pray every single day, be consistent in Bible reading, don't get horny, suppress sexual desires, don't give into temptation, always be hopeful. I am discouraged

    Hmm, when you feel discouraged, ask God for His help. We can only do things without being worn down, through the help of the Holy Spirit.

    Fall in love with Jesus again. He is satisfaction and will satisfy you. It was never supposed to be about a list of things to check off to be the best Christian you can be. We want to be like Jesus, and this is only accomplished by being with Him and beholding Him. When you’re in love, none of it is a chore but a delight to just be with the one you love. Does it take discipline, of course - but so does everything else you desire to accomplish in the natural. We pray because we love Him, we read our bibles because we want to know Him. When desires come, we trust Him to keep us from falling, and if we do fall “ if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us” (1 John 1:9). Hope this encourages you.

    Hmm. This is not really taught among Christians, but GOD'S WORD says that it is better to marry than to burn. Even as a Christian virgin myself, I am praying and believing for a godly man. Of course we should control ourselves, flee temptation, not make provision for the flesh. But if you have a desire to be married, you should pray and believe for a spouse.

    Really love the analogy about how we conduct ourselves when we wear white shoes or clothing. Indeed we must move differently because we are wearing the garment of righteousness which must not be stained by pollution from the world. And even if it got stained we must get cleaned by the blood of Jesus.
