    Any chance you could post the names of blood tests names from Labcorp (or anywhere) that cover the markers you mentioned tracking? The list of tests on Labcorp's website is daunting to say the least. Happy but belated Fastnacht day

    In most systems. The athletes typically get all the blame when performance is poor. Coaches only get there hat brought to them when they either hurt ticket sales, or damage the brand. Most coaches are not evaluated on how much potential they bring out of their athletes.

    Thank you for defining overtraining before getting into the details. Your approach will help deter the “self-diagnosis” attitude in athletes. I felt like I was overtrained during college but I never addressed it with my coach because I didn’t want to appear weak. Looking back if I had brought it up we could have done something about my nutrition and external stress at the time. Great information! Love the content!

    I always thought of being more susceptible to illness as a good symptom of overtraining. A few years ago I was a little concerned that I might be overtraining, but everyone in the house got sick but me. Then I was just "game on!"

    Great content as always! This video has convinced me to start getting blood work done, but do you have any resources on what does "getting your blood work done" mean? what am i or the doctor's looking for? what kind of blood work is it? etc?

    MMA fighters over train most of all athletes I would say, because they are working on several sports at the same time and strenghth and condition at the same time too. Also, some mma fighters have a job on the side, their life is insane

    All you really need is to get the fundamentals of like 2 maybe 3 martial arts to be an exceptional MMA fighter and they don’t practice it all in one day typically, at least at my gym they don’t, not sure how others do it. But MMA is definitely a tough sport

    ​@DrOrr 2 maybe 3 but Bjj,Wrestling,and a great understanding of all disciplines is what would make you exceptional. You don't have to learn Karate but if you don't understand how would you know the angles and arsenal if someone uses it? 2 or 3 doesn't sound right to me

    I agree, you should focus och 2-3 arts like wrestling, muaythai and bjj but you still need to check in on the other arts and add stuff from them like karate, judo etc. Some stuff from karate with angles etc like Wonderboy is crucial to use yourself or have the understanding of it if someone uses it against you like you said, 100% but actually the best thing to do is just doing straight mma session and in the days between doing the other arts but if there is a possibility to do mma session everyday do it I would say@@maltheri9833

    I think most ultra runners experience this “hole”. It can be really hard to climb out of alone.

    Yes I want to know symptoms of how you can diagnose Central nervous System fatigue. Some days I sprint real fast and feel real good and some days when volume is too high my legs get real heavy. Any words of advice on recovery and getting back to 100 percent?

    It is sooo easy….for naturals.. if they are breaking down the muscles they need way more than 48 hours to recover. If you want them to recover keep it concentric most of the time…some people need up to 2 weeks to recover from a hard workout…most people need to watch the calories they put in their beak than working out all the time which breaks down the muscles before they are fully recovered

    You can't eliminated all life stress. So, basically everything which cause stress combined will determine your individual recovery time or you will be constantly overreaching/overtraining. You only have so many resources as an individual natural human.

    I've been told that I might be doing too much as a beginner. I'm hitting the gym 6 days a week with daily cardio and some light jogging. So far I feel really good, but Ive only been lifting weights for 3 weeks :) Seems to be working, but I'm keeping an eye on my habits. I find after leg day I crave crap food. A guy I spoke to suggested that could be elevated cortisol levels after leg day because ny legs hurt so bad 😂

    Did you get over lyme disease? I always hear thats almost impossible, id love to know what worked for you - ive had chronic fatigue for awhile!

    there is no such thing as overtraining. more likely, under recovey.

    Over training is real, for real elite athletes. The vast majority of people do not, and probably cannot, consistently work hard enough to over train. Many people in the construction trades work hard 5-7 days a week in often times harsh environment. They do not become over trained, they become accustomed to the work load. I've seen block masons one hand pinch grip two CBS house blocks on the ground and lift them onto a six foot scaffold all day, every day in hot, muggy FL. That's around 64 lbs. each lift and they did it with control and precision.

    @Gibran Camus Same here and I do a second and third work-out as well three days of the week after weight training. 10 X 10 kettle bells swings and 2 X 5 Turkish Get Ups. My third and final training session is a moving dynamic tension set that takes about 12 minutes to complete. I'm 66 years old and have been on this routine for years. Use it or lose it.

    Perfect, you nailed this situation. Haul hay all summer and your body adapts to it, not everybody has to turn into a Bulgarian Weightlifter to adapt. 👍👍👍👍

    “All day every day” r u sure though? You live in the only place on earth where “all day every day” construction workers aren’t ever goofing off or looking at their mobile phones, that is the real story here. Cutting the story down a bit and assuming you’re exaggerating, I do know for a fact that construction workers are crippled by their 40’s and that’s when they become highly interested in desk jobs and paperwork and WHS and supervising. So don’t lead people astray mate

    I feel I’ll prolly get to a point where I’ll be overtraining sometime down my athletic career cause I’m gonna be an amateur boxer for a few years while working a welding job and doing weight training/conditioning, and eventually go pro in my mid 20s, hopefully not and I can properly balance things out.

    @@benji6944 it’s an individual sport that makes it feel lonely really, you pretty much got to do your training outside the gym by yourself, leading up to fights you kinda have to isolate a bit, even in the gym when you’re sparring the only one in there is you and your opponent, the fight itself is a 1v1 situation so it’s a 50/50 with the mind and body if you want to win. It’s prolly the least glamorous sport compared to Basketball and Football where you at least have a team

    NO!!! OVERTRAINING DOES NOT EXIST!!! Only improper nutrition plans and improper rest plans. You don’t ever see Infantrymen or Special Forces crying about overtraining and sometimes we train for 20+ hours per day for weeks on end. Every now and then we get a heat casualty (also not overtraining). Nobody gets “overtrained” in basic training or boot camp! We eat calories and we stay hydrated! Stay hydrated! Your body can do things you never imagined possible. Ask David Goggins. He isn’t the only one who has discovered this fact.
