Loved this video! Who ever said motorcycles were cheap to operate?? I'm glad you got all of the drama worked out, and now you can go back to loving that Indian ride and power! When I was a younger man, I souped up my motorcycles. Now I'm old and my mantra is, Stock is Good! I just hope that somebody else considering the same path in performance, will watch this video and learn what works and what doesn't. Ride and stay safe down there in FL. land!

I have the stage 2 cam upgrade with an Arlen Ness HO and TABs with the medium baffles. It came with a set of Zombies that are still in the box. I'm on the fence about swapping them out. Anyway, the current exhaust set up sounds really good and I'm not sure if I put in the Zombies, if I'll need to retune it.

I guess there are good sides to being cheap. I wanted the true dual system on my ‘16 Springfield but was too cheap, but I’m handy! So I cut the cat out and welded her back up. After a set of used stage 1 pipes, a DIY K&N high flow intake, and a PV3 tune, it runs great with little heat. Now my ‘21 Roadmaster, she will stay completely stock for quite a while, banking on longevity will win out there.

another very cool story :-)......it confirms, if you try too many things, some has to fail :-).....It seems in terms of exhaust systems I had more luck. Bought with the new Bike in 2016 a Jekill & Hyde valve system. Per push the button I can adjust it from very silent to small earthquake and to heavy thunder stroke. Still love the sound and stage 3 is the next step. Just ordered the Stage one classic high flow chrome filter which I need anyway for the big bore kit. Good video; I've heard your point echo'd by others re: FP True Duals; however, in my my case -- for 2018 RoadMaster 111, with Tier1 Tuner (FP TD header and hi-flo AF), all feels to be as performant or better than stock configuration (definitely cooler and of course - sounds great!). I do question whether this setup conflicts with air-fuel mix in the system when running at high elevations in high heat where lean engine code was thrown but ... the 100+ heat (weather; not engine), isn't good for anything. Cheers!

May I ask what 2:1 system you went with? The bike sounds really good. I had Freedom true duals on my 2016 Vintage. Loved them. I had only the 116 stage 3 OEM tune. In San Antonio TX nobody is really interested in tuning an Indian the right way. I tried tuning and when I shut off the bike, the garage smelled like gas. That was a result of the tune. I have a 2021 Springfield now and I think it needs an exhaust update.

When I finally land a decent deal on my next bike it'll certainly be an Indian. Probably not one off the showroom floor, but a well maintained used one, low milg., with all records & receipts, & close to home. You know, one driven only on Sundays to church by a little olde lady. The only modifications are an oil cooler, heated grips and touring seat and top box (trunk set up) all factory 2 tone and Garmin GPS. It's a great bike with good acceleration and handling especially 2 up where it is far superior to even my BMW R1200R. For me however modifying the engine for greater pure performance is pointless. It is great to ride as it is. But it's no sports bike and never will be. My BMW in terms of performance and the handling to cope with the performance will always kill any Indian. Because it's mass is so much less and handling so much better. But guess which bike I ride. The Indian. Because it is such a lovely bike to ride. Gimme a break. 🤣 Your personal desires for a stock bike are also shared by many Americans but MY individual goals are driven by improved performance. If your impressions are that the bikes are perfect and optimally designed from the factory, why are the race bikes putting out far more power? Enjoy what you have the way YOU like and I’ll do what I want to my bike.

Disagree, did the big bore first than true dual, I'm very satisfied.

Did you get it tuned when you installed the True Duals?

Motorcycles are a lot like “Pandora’s Box” and women 😂😂😂 (no offense Mrs. Barb) Life is way more fun with them than without 😜👍

Sounds like you just made some bad choices, bud. Experimenting costs money. Nothing I have ever read, not one, says 2 pipes give you more performance than a 2-1.

@@TwoIndians For sure! That’s the fun in it for me. It’s not fun to spend money on stuff that doesn’t pan out though. I’ve been there. Not throwing shade at all. I’m surprised you found someone to dyno an Indian. I can’t find anyone where I am. Not even Indian dealers.

Dude come on, you buy a new bike as sweet as that and when you get it home you now how can I fuck it spend a heap of cash doing it. Why?? Streamers on the handlebars would have been it.

LOL, you’re not wrong but for me this gives me the same feeling as when I was young and had hot rods. Always wanting more power, better looks, better stereo etc. it’s all about making it MY bike…it’s not like I’m alone with these thoughts. I bet maybe 5% of the motorcycle universe leaves their bike stock

My unprofessional opinion says this guy is an anal retentive overthinker? I bought a used 2016 Springfield a couple years ago. l gutted the cat the first week I owned it and have just ridden it ever since. What's with all the needing to change things constantly supposedly trying to improve it?

Bwahahaha, anal retentive over thinker? No man. I wanted to quiet down the bike a little bit due to my tinnitus. The new baffles wrecked the power output so I put them back in. Smdh.

It's ok to be anal. Trying new things is fun and there are lots of choices for modifications. Just gotta be smart and do some research.
