The reason Gary is in the pokemon tower is so he can pay respects to his fallen Raticate. I personally dont think its Red’s fault.

Blue just updated himself, raticate didn't die

Lavender town music, still cant get over it. Just scares me.

Okay, lets destroy this theory. 1. As YOU said, Blue removed raticate from his roaster because it wasn't strong enough. 2. If that theory was true, then all of his team would've died, because as you said, there is no pokemon center in S.S. Anne. 3. Imagine fighting aganist blue for the champion title, and not seeing him use an Arcanine, Exeggutor or Gyarados, but a RATICATE!! That would be easy as heck! 4. He is only in pokemon tower to catch all gastly line and cubone line, he just keeped in there searching a marowak, so: If he finded it before we arrive to pokemon tower, you wouldn't find blue on there. 5. In Sun /moon /ultra sun /ultra moon games red and blue are friends, which totally destroyed thid theory. Because there is no way to be friend of someone that killed your pet.

Alright I can under stand this as for the last one tho that’s debatable cause rarely but it does ever so rarely happen people befriend their family members killer but they rarely ever happens

Really, more people who think Blues Raticate died :(. I simply can't accept that Blues seriously died, it's just unbelievable Blue is a perfectly able-bodied-trainer and would've went straight to the HEALER that was literally aboard the SS-Anne. And if that wasn't possible than Blue would simply use a revive on Raticate. In other words, there was no way his pokemon could've died. To explain why Blue no longer has his Raticate is because he just boxed it. The reason why Professor Oak skouls at you is because you dethroned Blue at the gym, but no other reason.

Gary?? Gary exist in anime only Blue oak exists Manga games only Gary isn't same as blue

On Pokemon go (when it was popular) I named my raticate Gary

Theory: it's not just the player who can use the pc

Red fought with Gary and he used his whole team, so then shouldn’t all his Pokémon be dead

Gary's raticate said after losinng a battle "adios"

This vid is far better than the more popular ones which are just filled with irritating jokes and fluff. Shame that the popularity doesn't match the quality. Keep up the good work.

@@Slazors while most matpats theories are trash, his raticate video is quite believable. How would blues rattata evolve on level 16? And after all it's a kids game so if it actually died the games might have been removed due to showing animal abuse. you should watch game theory's video about this one

something I noticed.....gary said he already reached the top of the tower,but nobody could because of marowak.......so how did he manage to already get there? ...... maybe he forced raticate to battle marowak,and raticate then died from being pushed too hard......he also said he got a cubone from team rocket,that wouldv'e replaced raticate in his party.

problem with this theory is that the S.S Anne never set sail while aboard, so Gary/Blue would have had a chance to leave the ship, go to the pokemon center, and heal his pokemon

I think Bules pokemon died cause he was growing fast cause it has to be Level 20 to evolve yet his pokemon was level 16

Rattata doesn't evolve in Raticate until it's level 20 and his Raticate was level 16. But I m not sure if that was his Raticate.

Blue should have had revives.

who even cares? Iv'e always thought of him as gary,not blue. Blue is a colour,it doesn't make sense! and ash makes more sense than red.

Revives brah gary wouldnt be lacking like that especially knowing at least one of YOUR Pokemon faints and your on the boat for the same amount of time🫨
