In my opinion, men and women are made differently with biological and physical differences, but both deserve to be equally treated with equal opportunities. Its a fact that we get to see most of the mine workers, construction workers and soldiers are men. On the other hand, most of the teachers, nurses and babysitters are women. As all of these are important, we must respect both the genders. However, we must also encourage if a girl wants to become a pilot or become a soldier or a man wants to look after his children and do housework. Here, I didn't mean to demean any gender but to make all realise that it's not men vs women but men and women. All of us deserve to live our own way of life. And we must respect those who deserve it, irrespective of gender.

It's not just about how men should have physical labour it's also about how women are supposed to look after children. Women are naturally the primary caretaker of a child. A woman cannot fulfill her role as a mother if she goes to work and leaves her child. A father's role is like a guardian to protect the children. Feminism doesn't take into account all these primitive discrimination given to us by nature. All these things have implications in all types of areas where feminism is concerned.

The real problem i find in what is known as "modern feminism" is that women thinking that they don't need men. Infact we need both of them and we need each other in every aspects of our life. The idea that spreading now that women can be equal to men is totally wrong in my view. Women and men are different, both in anatomy and also in several other aspects. But just like dhruv rathee bro said, it doesn't mean they don't need equal rights. We are similar, which is enough to have equal rights. But the problem still lies on many people's mind and I've seen many videos of people saying that 'we don't need men/ we don't need women', then saying that this is feminism. The real feminism is not only about women, but about both men and women.

You could have added that some countries which are projected as great , like Switzerland for instance, gave voting rights to women very late , in the late sixties, I think, and that too after years of protests. Whereas Indian constitution makers were so good that nobody needed to agitate to get a vote

I am also a feminist and I am proud of myself. Every classmate of mine starts a debate with me saying that this goes against our religion as we are Muslims. They say things like, What are you talking about? You are gay? etc. But I still stand by what I think is right. My class topper is my friend, and you won't believe that despite being the topper, he always debates with me on feminism. Well he belongs to the countryside and according to him, women should get an education but only so much that they can teach their children that's it. He says, What is the need for women to do jobs while men are made for jobs?" Even toppers think this way. There are many other law that give advantage to women than men. Like if men make physical relation with female. And if it happened with consent from both side. Still women can file cheating case against men. But men cannot file such case. Girls also get reservation in many places. In some cases reservation is required for example in education it is important, but I don't understand reservation in bus. Also if some fight happen between men and women or women file case against men, then society will support female. That's how society treats men, Men is always blamed for everything.

But, coming to my point, she never insisted me to get marry after my separation from my husband for ten years. But, still, I'm happy and leading a peaceful life with my only kid.

These conservative thoughts would hamper the gender equality. We can't disrespect a particular gender.

The true problem is in how feminism is shown.. if i say honestly i didn't know feminism could have such a big impact on men.. i used to think this is a big problem but mainy for women.. but this video is actually very very informative.. these typical indian serials needs to be banned..and these type of videos should be shown in tv for better understanding of true feminism..

@@dk-zp5ze I agree with you on that, but we have to agree that tough times only break gender roles. It was WW1 when women left homes and came to work in factories as men were at war. It was during 1857 war, when women under Rani Lakshmibai came to battle. Also, when in a conservative family, there is a financial problem, women take work outside. 'Breaking Gender Roles' is an idea validiated by tough times 🙂

@@dk-zp5ze The thing is, back in the times when monarchies were everywhere, patriarchy was obviously strong. So the women didn't do anything except to be good housewives and took care of the kids. This has an effect on today's society too, there are women in military just much less in amount than men because it was never normal. Now that it's getting normalised more and more women are joining the military.
